三月二十日的曠野筵席有道菜餚充滿酸甜苦辣，我們能使律法的義，成就在我們這充滿罪性的肉體的罪人的行事為人身上嗎? 不，絕對不能。只能行在隨從圣靈的人身上。 

「.... 上帝就差遣自己的儿子，成為罪身的形狀，作了贖罪祭，在肉體中定了罪案，使律法的義，成就在我們這不隨從肉體，只隨從圣靈的人身上。」（羅馬書 8:3-4 新國際版）

「隨從圣靈是什么意思呢？」這意思有兩方面：第一，這不是苦工，而只是一种行走而已。贊美神，當我隨從肉體去討神的喜悅時，我所招致的重擔和徒勞，現在轉變成為對「照著祂在我里面運行的大能」（歌羅西書 1:29）的信靠，是一种宁靜并安舒的信靠。這解釋了為什么保羅在加拉太書中，將肉體的事和圣靈的果子，作了一個明顯的比較。

第二，「隨從」就是跟隨的意思。這里所暗示的乃是順從。圣靈豈不是在引導我們嗎？所以隨從圣靈，就是在凡事上順服圣靈。從此以后，我們生活的主動權必須屬于祂。有一件事，是隨從圣靈的人所不能做的，那就是：他不能走在圣靈的前頭。

God did by senting His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a offering .  And so He condenmed sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit." (Romans 8:3-4  NIV)

"What does it mean to walk in the Spirit?"  It means two things: First, it is not drudgery, but just a walk. Praise God, the burden and futility I incurred when I followed the flesh to please God is now transformed into a trust "according to His power that works in me" (Col. 1:29), a peaceful and comfortable trust in Him. This explains why Paul makes such an obvious comparison between the sinful nature and the fruits of the Spirit in his book Galatians.

Second, "follow" means the Holy Spirit guiding us. What is the meaning implied here --- obedience. Isn't He guiding us? Therefore we follow the Holy Spirit that means to obey Him in everything. Henceforth, the initiative in our lives must belong to Him. There is one thing which a follwer cannot do:  he cannot walk ahead of the Holy Spirit.
