February 28

"Rejoice in the Lord always, I say again, rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4)

Paul and Barnabas have to leave the church in Pisidian Antioch to somewhere due to circumstances changing,  (Acts 13:50). What could be the consequences of their early departure from this just established church? In this church, there were a few of new christians who were but as babes in Christ.  Wheather they entreat the apostles to remain there for taking care of their spiritual growing in the following reasons: "If you leave us alone, now we would be like sheep without a shepherd."  "Actually, at least one of you must stay to take care of us!" "The persecution is so severe that we can not stand against it without your help. Did they augue with apostles using these reasons?  No, they didn't say anything, but there is a wonderful record in the Bible recorded a wonderful saying as follows  : "The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and joys!" (Acts 13:52). They didn't feel sorry only Paul and Barnabas leave temporary for moveing forward. Great joy in the Lord!  Why? Because of the apostles left them for a while, others could have the opportunity to help preaching the gospel. Not only that, but they themselves are directly cared for and provided for by God, because they are all filled with the Holy Spirit!

(50) How to pay attention to interpretation from Chinese to English。 2/27/2023

(50)            How to pay attention to interpretation from Chinese to English。

英文翻譯     Hope you long life。     (這中式英文, 應加上 "I" 和  "a"   )                                                                       I hope you a long life。

英文翻譯     She said, "Well done. "Well done. " She said。

February 27

"Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." (Psalm 34:5)

We need to beware of paying too much attention to the spiritual experience of ourselves, lest we gradually turn to self-righteous and fall within ourselves. Let me now use the electric-bulb lamp as a illustration. You are sitting in a dark room and longing for the lamp turning on, so that you can read. The lamp is on your desk, what can you do?  Do you just expecting that lamp to turn on light immediately? Otherwise, do you keep continue wiping that light bulb with a rag in your hand? Absolutely not! You just go to the electric switch setting and to flip it on, letting the current flow into the lamp, and immediately the room is bright! You should focus on where the bright is coming from.  When you get in proper contacting with the source switch there, the light will be on. Always keep your eyes focus upon what God has accomplished for you in Christ, and then let Him be responsible for doing the work on you.

(49) My ears had heard of You but now my eyes have seen You. ...

(49)            My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You. ...

February 26

"And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head of everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way." (Ephesians 1:22-23 literally NIV).

You don’t regard the heavenly Christ as an unattainable ideal, an ideal that you need to dream of , and to achieve because you still live in heaven. You have to see Him as a gift that God has given you. You are often attracted by worldly things and pull you down. In fact, if they cannot pull Christ down, they cannot pull you down either, don't you believe? Let me give you an analogy: There are some yellow flowers on my desk, and when I enter the room, I don’t need to murmur and repeat, “There must be yellow flowers on the desk, there must be yellow flowers on the desk,” and then because of this "Self-suggestion", those yellow flowers appeared magically. No! It's not like that! Those yellow flowers are already there, I just need to open my eyes to see them.

Our faith is not like the fragments to put together, but rooted in the eternal facts of what God has accomplished in Christ. If we are bold enough to put our faith on these facts, the Holy Spirit will immediately come out to reveal their reality. As long as you find that you are in Christ (which is a reality), then instead of being pulled down, you will be lifted up by His power.

308 中翻英(48) Never give up! 2/25/2023

308                         中翻英(48)                 Never give up!

She saw a cat.

Walking is a good exercise.

She loves to eat candy.

)

February 25

"A maidservant named Rhoda came out to inquire, and when she heard Peter's voice, she was overjoyed and did not open the door. She ran in and told the people that Peter was standing outside the door. They said, You are crazy!" (Acts 12: 13-15 first half)

Some people have told me that although they want to trust the Lord, they still have doubts and doubts in their hearts. They laid their petitions before the Lord and held on to the promises of God, yet doubts continued to arise. I like to bring up the story of Peter being released from prison. While he was knocking on the door, the church was praying for him! When the brethren heard the knock at the door, they cried out, "This is his angel!"

There are those today who profess a greater faith than the group of disciples who gathered in Mary's Upper Room to pray. They really believed that God would send an angel and open every door of the prison. If the wind blows, they say, "Peter is knocking at the door!" If the rain is falling, "Peter is knocking at the door again!" The faith of these people is too light and arbitrary. This kind of faith is not necessarily the true faith. For even those saints who know God best, whose faith will undoubtedly bring God's answer, are still cautious, lest they should be inadvertently, and fall into the error of the enemy.

(47) Can it work by practicing from translation Chinese into English? 2/242023

(47)          Can it  work by practicing from translation Chinese into English?

Is she a university student?

Do you like me ?

Where did she come from ?

You are Chinese, right?

February 24

"When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth." (John 16:13)

One thing is for certain in spiritual experience, and that is revelation precedes faith. Seeing and believing are the two great principles controlling the Christian's life. When we see the fact that God the Father has accomplished for us in Christ, our natural reaction is to say from our faith, "I thank you, O God!" Revelation is the work of the Holy Spirit, who accompanies God. He also explains the word of God and guides us into whole truth. We should trust Him with all of our hearts, for that is His mission on earth. If we were short of understanding or lack of faith, we should bring these difficulties immediately to the Lord and talked to Him: "O Lord, please open my eyes! Reveled this to me. My Lord, I am short of faith, please help." He will pay attention to listen.

(46) How do we use "it" correctly?

(46)      How do we use "it" correctly?

It is difficult for me to think in English.

(不能写成, ‘I am difficult to think in English.’

It is easy for Paul to understand French.

(不能写成, ‘Paul has no difficulty in understanding French.

Are we possible to arrive there tonight?

(像中式英语, 這樣翻 “Is it possible for us to arrive there tonight?

I wonder if I am possible to learn it.

“I wonder if it is possible for me to learn it.”  若译成,                     “I wonder if I can learn it.”

We are uneasy to take examinations.

“ It is not easy for us to take examinations.”)

Are you convenient?

Is it convenient for you?)7.

When shall you be convenient for me to cal1?

When will it be convenient for me to cal1 on you?)

"David was afraid of the Lord that day." (2 Samuel 6:9)

We are probably perplexed by the tragic death of Uzzah(烏撒). David made the mistake of ignorance, and used a new cart to transport the ark of God, the ark of the covenant that the Lord of hosts has put his name on. (2 Samuel 6:2) David’s move seems to be a very safe and thoughtful way, but no matter how good people’s thoughts are, they will eventually be revealed how absurd and pitiful they are. When they arrived at the threshing floor of Nagan(拿艮), the ark shook because the oxen stumbled, so Uzzah stretched out his hand and took hold of the ark of God to stabilize it. Although he did it with zeal and sincerity for the glory of God, he died immediately! No wonder David was troubled by this.

It is the ark of God that protects the Israelites, not the Israelites who protect the ark of God. Who ever heard of forest guards wanting to protect tigers? This is unprecedented. Likewise, God does not need man to protect Him, because He is more than sufficient to take care of Himself. Many things should be done by God, but people did by mistake of ignorance first; many times we should look upon to Him for hearing, but people are speaking first; we should wait for God to rest in many plans, but we arrange them in advance.  We often protest ourselves like this: "Why can't I preach? I must preach for gospel!" Oh! That are our sins in ministry. Whoever has never offended God like this! But thank God, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and He will forgive and delivery us.

(45) Wretched man as I am! But He saved me. 2/22/2023

(45)   Wretched man as I am! But He saved me.

例如:       Your English is good. You speak English well.

Ruth is a good pianist. Ruth plays the piano well.

I play tennis but I'm not very good.

My exam results were very good.

You did very well in your exams.

"Thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 7:25)

"Wretched man as I am! Who can deliver me from this body of death?" (Romans 7:24) This sentence was once Paul's desperate cry, but in an instant, the light of revelation flashed, and he immediately recovered from the despair. Sighs turned into cheers of praise!

Paul's first sentence after he was released is the most precious and worthy of our consideration: If someone hands you a glass of water, when you thank him, you must face the person who gave you the water, not to other irrelevant people .

Why did Paul say, "Thank God"? Because this thing is done by God's work , He does the work, and  He completes it. Everything comes from God and He create it. If Paul had done it himself, then he would have said thanks to Paul, not to God. Paul saw deeply his extremely powerness and sinful man, and he knew that his delivered was done by God and was entirely from Him.  That why he gave God his thanksgiving .

God is going to do all,  because He's willing to be fully glorified.  God has forgiven all sins from us on the cross, leaving nothing; He has delivered us in the same way, leaving nothing uncompleted. He does it all, He does it all for you. "God works in you." (Philippians 2:13 NIV)
