我們親愛的主耶穌基督，孩子切慕祢的真理，渴想祢的話語，感謝祢把生命的活水恩賜給了我，用無比豐盛的愛澆灌在孩子的心裡。求祢的靈來充滿我，安慰溫暖孩子的心靈，提醒幫助我，引領孩子行事為人在主的旨意中，奉主耶穌的聖名禱告。名們。

今日的曠野筵席擺滿了佳餚供訪友品嚐。使您們知道我們的主耶穌恩典够您們用，在祂沒有難成的事。

「耶和華對亞伯蘭說：你要离開本地，往我所要指示你的地方去。」（創12:1）

這是神對亞伯蘭第二次的呼召，第一次的呼召是當亞伯蘭在米所波大米亞，「還未住哈蘭的時候」。（徒7:2）

亞伯蘭离開迦勒底人之地，但他似乎走得不夠遠。他居留哈蘭的日子，圣經的記載全付闕如，這是一件何等嚴肅的暗示！但神一直堅持祂當初的呼召。我們有時候希望要借著拖延來改變神向我們的要求。神并不如此做，因祂從來不會廢棄祂多年前擺在我們面前的目標。我們可能讓它滑掉，但神卻不是這樣。

從神的觀點來看，哈蘭并不比米所波大米亞強多少。亞伯蘭在稍向前移動之后，也許就躊躇滿志，但神卻呼召他進入一個指定的地方（迦南美地）。一切真正的呼召都是高的呼召。讓我們不要滿足于「半路的涼亭」。問題不在于我們從起點已經走了多遠，乃在于我們的心是否仍放在神的目的上。

March 3rd

"The LORD said to Abram, Leave your country and go to the place I will show you." (Genesis 12:1)

This is God's second call to Abram. The first call was when Abram was in Mesopotamia, "before he lived in Haran". (Acts 7:2)

Abram left the land of the Chaldeans, but he didn't seem to go far enough. What a solemn allusion is there to the absence of any scripture record of his stay in Haran! But God has remained true to His original calling. We sometimes hope that by procrastinating we can change what God requires of us. God doesn't do that, because He never undoes the goals He set before us all those years ago. We may let it slip, but not God.

From God's point of view, Haran was not much better than Mesopotamia. Abram may have been complacent after moving forward a little, but God called him into a designated place (the land of Milk and Honey --- Canaan). All genuine callings are high callings. Let's not settle for "halfway gazebos". The question is not how far we have come from where we started, but whether our hearts are still set on God's purpose.
