(70) Preface of the book "A Table in theWilderness."

(70)   Preface of the book "A Table in theWilderness."

Our heavenly Father, I beg You to have a mercy on me.  I am not trying to steal the honor of author's from his book which it is to glory You.  My purpose is to let much people to know You.  I repent my sin before You.  I beg You to forgive my sin. I will not do it again.  I pray in Jesus' holy name.  Amen.

還要說的一句話是金彌爾弟兄在他所著的序言中的一句很長的心裡話 : Few modern Chinese preachers have so glorified Christ and so edified their hearers as did Watchman Nee from the depth of his experience and the breadth of his reading(在現代中國的傳道人中,很少有像倪柝聲弟兄那樣,從他的經驗深度和閱讀廣度中,如此榮耀主耶穌基督,如此造就他們的福音聽眾。)

".... Indeed I would not have know what sin was except through the law。For I would not have known what coveting realy was if the law had not said," Do not covet." (Romans 7:7  NIV)

God understands my sinful nature. He knows that I am full of sin from head to toe. The problem is that I don't know God knows that I am quite weak and can not pleasing Him.  I admit that the whole people of the world  are sinner.  I am the one of them.  However,  I thought I would be better than someone else. While I recognize my weak, and I don't think quite that it's true.  Therefore, God used the law to make me realize this fact. For the more we try to meet the requirements of the law, the more our failure becomes apparent. It was through the law that Paul truly knew himself. The law begins with "Thou shalt not covet." Regardless of Paul's experience with the rest of the law, this tenth commandment (literally "Thou shalt not covet") was what made him see himself for who he was. This commandment brought him face to face with a holy God.
