代名詞(pro - noun)是代替名詞, 從前用得好好的，突然看到英文文章出現了-- 代词，我覺得不太恰當，所以還是用代名詞。

近年來於現代中文裡才發現: 她，它，牠，他等等中文代名詞。才和其先行词在数, 性, 和人称三方面要有一致的關係.  这一点在英文中特別很重要(請看博客81 代名词和其先行词的一致性(二)。其目的是要使句子意義確定，简洁，而明暸.  若用它们，后反而使句子的意變模糊, 要读者或听的人去猜, 就失去了使用代名词的初衷.

  例如,  

            她很漂亮。She is a beautiful girl.  (到底谁是漂亮的小姐?)  必須用恰当的前行词加以说明.                                    The girl who she sits there is beautiful. (girl 是前行词, 代名詞 "she"代表她).

    在馬路上行走危險.It's dangerous to walk in the road. (It 代表名詞短語 ‘to walk in the road’)               [註] : 英美人士不常说:  ' To walk in the road is dangerous.' 因为主语冗长不雅所以习惯        用 it 来开始, ‘to walk in the road’ 是 it 的前行词(precedence)。還有英文重點在句尾.

世上沒有一個主人如同我們的主耶穌有那么多的仆人，并且祂很适當的給他們分配工作。甚至那個小婢女，也能在乃縵有需要的時候，在他旁邊為神做見證。我們許多人因神所安排給我們的地位而發怨言。我們想做這件事，但神卻把我們放在那件事上面，我們有心愿要在這里事奉祂，但祂為我們所安排的計划卻在別處。當我們面對著這些表面上有違己愿的遭遇時，讓我們記得：還在我們悔改之前，神在我們身上的計划就早已擬妥了。甚至當我們還沒有出母腹的時候，神憑著祂的預知和先見，便早已定規了我們一生的計劃。神從來不會突然做事，祂總是在很早的時候就准備妥當。所以在神呼召中，我們沒有什么可以發怨言的，也沒有什么可以驕傲的。并且也不必對別人有所嫉妒，因別人所得的利益与我們毫不相干。當我們回顧自己的一生時，只有俯伏敬拜，并承認一切都是神所預備的。所以我們不需要害怕會遺失什么東西。具有這樣的确信，就是真正的在主裡安息。

There is no master who has so many servants as our Lord Jesus in the world, and He assigns them work properly. Even the little handmaid was able to stand by Naaman's side as a witness for God in His time of need. Many of His servants complained because of the place God has placed them in. We want to do this, but God puts us in what we don’t like. We do have pleasure to serve Him here, but His plans put us somewhere else. As we face these seemingly unwelcome encounters, let us remember that God's plan for us was drawn up long before we repented.  As we were born even before from our mother's womb, God, with His foreknowledge and foreseen, has already determined the plans of our life. God never does things suddenly, He always prepares well in advance. Therefore, in God's calling, we have nothing to complain about, and we have nothing to be proud of. And there is no need to be jealous of others, because the benefits of others have nothing to do with us. As we review from our walk with God before, we can only bow down and worship, and admit that everything was well prepared by God. Therefore we don't need to be afraid of something missing.  This is the sign to be sure what we have been truly rested in Him.
