July 31"As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem" (Luke 9:51 NIV).   From Gospel Luke chapter 9 to 23 drew a route, which is to Jerusalem. Because this is ordained on the Mount of Transformation.

Did the Lord Jesus focus on Jerusalem? No. He focused on what is going to happen in Jerusalem --- the cross. The meaning of Jerusalem here is to accomplish God's will, which is to bear the cross. Why should we focus on this matter? Because the day Jesus is going to be taken up to heaven is near! The day when the Lord Jesus will taken His saints up to heaven  is near! Today we are not talking about who cannot be taken up to heaven, but that if we wait to be taken up to heaven, we must go to Jerusalem. That is to say, we must bear the cross and walk His way.  If God shows us what glory, taking up to heaven, and resurrection did mean to us, we must obey God’s will, bear the cross, and walk according to the way of the cross. Please remember: when the Lord Jesus knew that the day of His being taken up to heaven had arrived, He did not just sit and wait for the it. The Bible says,  "The day when Jesus was taken up to heaven and ascended was approaching, he decided to go to Jerusalem." The cross was taken before. Since we know that the day is approaching, we should make up our minds to do God's will for us and to bear the cross.

(173) The most common mistakes in translate Cinese to English 7/30/2023

(173)        The most common mistakes in translate Chinese to English

英:   I like eat peanut.           (錯); I like eating peanut.

英:   I love play basketball.   (錯); love to play basketball.

英:  He take breakfast. (錯);                             He   takes   breakfast.

Judge not, that you be not judged.

"Who can separate us from the love of Christ?" (Romans 8:35)

Every believer in this world has his own special experiences, special difficulties, and special circumstances. What Paul is saying is that no matter what your question is, the answer is always the love of Christ. There are a hundred problems you have, and the solution to them is still the love of Christ. Some believers may be suffering, some may be in great distress, some may be persecuted, and some may be hungry. Neither nakedness, nor danger, nor sword, etc., can separate us from the love of Christ, which solves all these things. Do you ever know that many were caught by the love of Christ, and He passed through what many could not.

There was a widow who had a very difficult life because her husband died. She owed her rent and could not pay her. All her belongings were mortgaged. But in such a situation, she still has a smile. When does she smile? It was when she looked at her child, who was not yet a year old, that she smiled. She smiled because of love.

 July 29

"For the love of Christ motivates us." (2 Corinthians 5:14)  In the original language, the word "encouragement"means something on the water, which is flowed away by the water power. The love of Christ power flowed you away just like it.  Rev. Lewinstein said,  "If someone came to Africa for buying and selling black slaves.  Wouldn't the love of Christ motivate a person to go to Africa too? So he did go to there. Because  the love of Christ power inspired him alone to lay down his own life to save countless people. Truly, only the love of Christ can motivate person. But love cannot be shown to people. But it is impossible to taste the sweetness of this love without being inspired by it.

The love of Christ motivates us, because it affirms us two things to be crtain: First, Christ died for all, that is the reason why Christ's love can't  separable from His dead.  Therefore, we have His love, due to  Christ died for us.  Second, the living persons no longer live for themselves, but for the resurrection Lord, that is the purpose. As the love of Christ motivates me, I cannot help to live for Him, in stead for standfast on my place.

(171) Do not quench the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. 7/28/2023

(171)    Do not quench the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

July 28"Do not quench the inspiration of the Holy Spirit." (1 Thessalonians 5:19)Every person should expect to get some mission from God and load it to God through prayer.  If we faithfully pray to God the missions one by one, He will entrust to us more new missions as the reward.   The only reason for we don't get more missions, because we don't care the missions that God has entrusted to us. If we release these missions in prayer, we shall be rewarded by him in entrusting us with new and greater responsibilities. It is very important to be spiritually sensitive to God, because we may lose the ministry of intercession by quenching the Holy Spirit! If we fall behind in this matter, the first way to recover is to confess our sins to Him, and to respond faithfully and promptly to new impressions given by the Holy Spirit. Has He put a soul in your heart? You should immediately pray to God for that person. Oh dear friend! If you want to enter into effective service, you should recover the burdens you have neglected in the past, and you must faithfully fulfill the ministry of prayer! When you are moved, pray immediately.

All true work for God begins with the burden of prayer that the Holy Spirit places in your spirit. Without this burden your work may turn out to be but fruitless. But if you really know that this work was initiated by God Himself, then you will find that the more this work progresses, the greater the release you will experience! And the kind of work you do has real spiritual value. So, if you want to seek true and effective ministry, wait on God until He reveals His burden to you and reveals His will to you.

(170) The reality of faith for prayer. 7/27/2023

(170)            The reality of faith for prayer.

July 27

"Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you" (Leviticus 26:8 NIV).

This is reality of faith in our prayers. When we are gethering  together of one mind to pray on earth, ten thousand enemies will be defeated for us in heaven. How many times have God's people to take the Words of the Lord Jesus literally to prove Their power to defeated enemies in times of crisis!

When Peter was imprisoned in the night, the whole members of the church in Jerusalem knelt down and prayed earnestly for him. Then the heaven answered the unanimous prayer, Herod's power was no use.  As the kingdom of heaven has assaulted Herod's domain, even the gates of the prison have been yielded and surrendered of their own accord!

The great work that the church can do is to be the outlet of God's will. The church is the outlet of God's will through prayer. One mind is harmony, two people must be in harmony, they must stand in the position of the body (the church), and they must know what the life of the body is. Two people have only one purpose here, which is to say to God. We want Your Will being done— it is done in heaven as done on earth. When the church asks from this position, you will see that no matter what you ask for, the Father in heaven will accomplish it.

July 26

"So death is at work in us, but life is at work in you." (2 Corinthians 4:12)

How precious is the cross of Christ! It exists in every member of Christ, and can bring forth a climax of life in the whole body of Christ, if the Christian will allow the cross to deal severely with the natural life in him. You ask me: How can I be used by God to minister life to others. My answer is: not by working more outside the home, nor by retreating and not working, but by allowing the power of Christ's death and resurrection to operate in your entire life as you walk with God. Those who minister only by word and work cease when circumstances silence and stop them. They can only be useful when they are working and talking, which is unsuitable and abnormal. Just let "Jesus' death" work in you, and life will be manifested in others. For this is an unchanging principle of the Body of Christ: "Death is at work in us, but life is at work in you."

July 25"There we saw the Anakites, the great men, the offspring of the great men, who were as grasshoppers to us, and we to them." (Numbers 13:33 NIV)The two thrones are fighting against each other, and God wants to gain the dominion on earth. His arch-enemy, Satan, with the aid of the evil spirits in the sky, deliberately invades the earth with sin, trying to ostracize God's kingship and dominion on His own earth. We, the people of God, are called to drive out these wicked and powerful enemies, so that Christ may have the preeminence in all things. How do we carry out this task?

"If the Lord is pleased with us, he will bring us into the land." The above is the opinion of Joshua and Caleb, two minority people, which is exactly the opposite of the decadent miscalculation of the ten spies! "If the Lord is pleased with us" is an important word. One thing is for sure, any talk of spiritual warfare is empty talk unless we first learn to live holy lives. It is no fiction that the giants of Canaan were tall and we are like grasshoppers. We recognize this fact as much as they do. What's the matter? How can we live a life that pleases God? This is possible only by truly resting in Christ and His finished work. Otherwise, Satan can sit back and relax. But if our lives are pleasing to God in Christ, then "their [Canaanites'] defense is removed." For through Christ we are more than conquerors.

July 24

"..... but   rather offer      yourselves to God,  as those  who  have been  brought  from death  to life;   and offer the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.   " (Romans 6:13)

Many people think that the word "dedication" means dedication, but they don't pay attention to its content. Of course it means consecration, but not in the way we think it means. It is not to dedicate our own "old man", together with the "old man's" instincts, resources, natural wisdom, abilities and other gifts, etc., for God's use. We can clearly understand the true meaning of consecration from the above verse, "Be like those who have been raised from the dead." The starting point of consecration is the "resurrection from the dead". For what we offer is not something of the old creation, but what has passed through death and has been resurrected. The "consecration" mentioned here is the result of knowing that my old man has been crucified with Christ, and counting myself as "alive to God in Christ Jesus". First "knowing", then "reckoning", and finally "dedicating", these three are a divine order.

466 中翻英 (166) Only look upward upon Jesus. 7/23/2023

466 中翻英 (166)         Only look upward upon Jesus.

July 23

"Let your eyes look straight ahead, let your eyes look straight ahead." (Proverbs 4:25  NIV)

For God's people, we look inward ourselves to our spiritual life is the most harmful thing. Introspection is a fatal wound for us. Do we acknoelege this? We can easy to discover that sin is a deadly poison.  But it is not easy to clearly perceive its harmfulness to self-examination. The hidden disease that is difficult to detect is more terrible than the obvious disease. If I ask you a question, "Is pride wrong?" you know the answer. If I asked again, "What about jealousy?" you would answer, "Of course it is wrong!" Yet you can look inward at yourself many times a day, thinking that what you are doing is particularly spiritual, and completely oblivious to its evil.

Don't do it again! Learn from those who walk in the Spirit (walk with the Spirit). If you have an inner impulse to preach Christ to someone, do you stop there and examine yourself to see whether the urging is from yourself or from God? When you are asking yourself this, the opportunity is passing! When you act, you will be set free.

July 22

"To sanctify and cleanse the church, with the washing of water through the Word" (Ephesians 5:26 NIV)

What does it mean for Christ to wash our church with His life through His Words? The first thing is, we need to see before God what is wrong with the church. The shortcoming of the church is not that it has too little Christ, but that there are too many things other than Christ. The church in God's will is completely out of Christ, without sin, and without natural life in it. What is our actual situation? Every one of us that is truly of Christ has something that is wholly of Christ—we thank God for this, but besides this, there are many things that are not of Christ. It needs to be washed because of many other things. What is washing? Washing means to  clean it out of  the church not adding to make it more contaiming.

(164) "You are the light of the world." 7/21/2023

(164)  "You are the light of the world."

July 21st

"You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14 NIV)

Some believers ask whether they should preach or find a job and doing business. Are these two paths laid before the children of God? Where can we find these two choices in the Bible, preaching or finding a job? Are Christians commanded to make such a choice? You should know that God’s people are the lamps of testimony. Is there any Christian who should not be a witness for the Lord? If there are only a few preachers, and all believers are lamps, this kind of mysterious logic cannot be established. In fact, there should be a living testimony on earth for God, and I live for it. This is the only way for us Christians, and it can be said that there is no other way. No one who belongs to the Lord can not testify for the Lord. It is a great matter that all Christians have to preach Christ. As for serving the Lord full time, or using part of the time to work as a career, that is a secondary issue. Everything should be gathered towards the center. God cannot use a man whose business is his life and preaching is his life. But God can use a man who is primarily preaching and business is a subsidiary. Our business is not the center of our lives,  and only God is.   We have to use all the keys, for caring about the correct handling of both the pros and cons.

(163)        Lord! I beg You to enter into my heart to be my Savior and Lord now.

"Whom have I in heaven but you? I have no one on earth but you." (Psalm 73:25)

Our total devotion to the Lord is often diverted by something special, and God is waiting to have that crucial special thing, because He must have everything from us. I was deeply moved by some words written in his autobiography by a leader of a nation. He said, "I ask nothing for myself. All I ask is for my country." If a man wants everything for his country and nothing for himself.    We can say to God, " Lord, I don't ask for anything for myself, I want everything for You! I only want what You want, and I don't want anything outside of Your will;”can't we?    Unless we stand in the position of slaves, He will not stand in the position of master. God does not call us to dedicate ourselves to His work, He calls us to surrender unconditionally to His will.

(162) God will supply all your need in Christ Jesus. 7/19/2023

(162)     God will supply all your need in Christ Jesus.

July 19

"My God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"                (Philippians 4:19 NIV)

Many Christians are so poor that they cannot even meet their own needs. Anyone who wanted to ask them for help had to return empty-handed! There are other Christians who are very rich, and you can never estimate their spiritual wealth. It seems that you have not encountered a difficulty circumstance that they have never experienced before. They are able to help you in any difficult situation you are in, and they seem to have ample resources for anyone who turns to them in need. The reason many Christians are not totally bankrupt spiritually is because they accept the service and provision from other believers. These spiritual providers are constantly bringing their spiritual wealth into the body of Christ, and the spiritually poor believers rarely realize that they are indebted to those spiritual providers, and they sometimes even tempted to despise those who have provision. Perhaps one day, a friend who traveled from afar may wish us to serve some bread, but because of our poverty, the Lord may allow us to borrow some from our neighbors. If the Lord says to us, "Give them something to eat,"   How about us?

(161) Lord, You fill us with the Holy Spirit. 7/18/2023

(161)      Lord, You fill us with the Holy Spirit.

"None    of a sparrow   shall fall to the ground without your Father's   permission."                                                    (Matthew 10:29 NIV).

God is  the  having purpose God. He   created   the entire universe not by accident.     Creation is the expression of God's definite purpose. The great passage in the first chapter of the Bible Ephesians   records of His calling of us "according to the good pleasure of His own purpose; from   whom we first hoped in Christ, having the praise."    When we think of Adam's fall and our own sin, and our appreciation for the One who "by the grace of God who tasted death for everyone" We can't help but marvel at the faint response (thanks and praises) of our Savior Jesus. We have to even asking ourselves, how can these things happen to us? So let us be reminded again that even the death of a sparrow, which we think is a trivial matter   even   God takes notice of. The Creator of the entire universe also has His will for a tiny sparrow.    So, the Lord Jesus said, "Do not be afraid, you are more valuable than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:31) "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

July 17

"The LORD God made him sleep, and he fell asleep, and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man, and brought him to the man. They said, "This is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; you may call her woman, for she was taken out of man" (Genesis 2:21).

What Adam is the   typology   of   Christ. The creation of Eve from Adam is the typology  creation of the church from Christ. Eve was created from Adam's rib, and Eve was produced from Adam. What is the church? The Church is another form of Christ as Eve was another form of Adam.

The church   must be   the Christ Himself.      A person  with  ability,  thought, wisdom, and everything about him are outside the church. Only those who come out of Christ are in the church. Eve was not made of clay, but of Adam, who was the typology of Christ. Preciousness is here. A rib was taken from Adam to make Eve. Only what came out of Adam (not from the soil) could be called Eve, and what came out of Christ could be called the church. Anything that is not from Christ has nothing to do with the church.

July 16

"For from him, and through him, and to him are all things. To him be glory forever, amen." (Romans 11:36)

God must be the initiator of all spiritual work. We must all agree that His will must govern the beginning of the work. In fact, we can go a step further and say that all ends are also due to Him. In this way, as Paul said: "God is above all things and Lord of all things." Especially advanced, He is not only the Creator and Summarizer of all things, but also the Builder of all things. When His power is at work, all that results must be in glory. Our problem is this: We know that the beginning of the work is "from him" and the end of the work is "to him", but we forget another fundamental fact, which is the activity of all the major works in between , must also be "through him". If He is to be glorified at last, we must have no place to claim any glory. God's will governs the beginning, His glory is manifested in the end, and His power must permeate the entire work from the beginning to the end and the middle process. Practically speaking, the issue of glory is not resolved at the end, but in the middle of the work.

July 15

"And when Abram heard that his nephew had been snatched, he led his well-trained men who had been born in his house and pursued them as far as Dan." (Genesis 14:14 NIV)

Lot quickly settled down in the land of Canaan, but not long afterward, he also lost his inheritance there.     It provides a   omparison, showing us that Abram was a Hebrew, a "man who crossed the river" and a pilgrim,  in  the   Genesis 14. Only those who take the world as their sojourn and are willing to live in the Promised Land have real power to deal with the enemy.

Abram completely put aside the issue of inheritance and left it to God to be responsible. That's right, but it's not right if he doesn't care and love Lot at the same time. In this matter, he is clearly a real overcomer. Before he went out to chase the invaded kings, he had already overcome in his spirit. Under the circumstances, it was quite natural for him to have a grudge against his selfish nephew. At the very least, he could justly express his attitude toward Lot's calamity by saying, "I told you so!" But Abram did not, because grudges are not the basis of victory. Similarly, when we encounter a similar situation, we must first fight a victory in our hearts. Is the one who suffers is my brother? If so, no matter how much he mistreats me or hurts me, I must love him for the Lord's sake, pray for him, and muster all my strength to help him.
