295 中翻英 (35) God's Will & man's free choice. 上帝的旨意與人的自由選擇 2/12/2023
朋友, 今天二月十二日的曠野筵席上有 "人自由選擇" 的一道美味的菜餚, 您要如何去作決定, 是遵照上帝的旨意呢? 還是 惟我獨尊, 為所欲為.
「我手的工作，你們可以吩咐我。」（賽45:11直譯）
從上面的經文，我們發現神在時間里常受人的限制，不能暢所欲為。神樂意讓自己被限制在祂子民的自由選擇里，而不愿支配祂的儿女如同移動棋盤上的棋子一樣。神這樣做實在有智慧，因祂深知這時代的終結祂將會有什么收獲。在已往的永世里，神是不受任何限制的，因那里沒有神以外的任何意志存在。在未來的永世里，祂也是照樣不受任何限制，因那時候，愛已經征服了一切，人類的自由意志与上帝的旨意要完全成為一個。這就說出祂的榮耀！
但目前，在時間里，神讓自己受限制。今日只有人的自由意志与上帝合作時，祂才能完成祂的計划。自由意志就是說，我可以揀選順服上帝或不順服。這好像祂將一個含有巨大動力的火車頭交給我們管理，并囑咐我們鋪設軌道。火車頭已經備妥，目的也已規定好了，但并不是火車頭來控制路軌，而是路軌有能力來限制火車頭。「凡你們所愿意的，祈求就給你們成就。」（約15:7）哦！我們的責任是何等的重大！

From the
scriptures above, we find that God is often limited by man in time, and cannot
do whatever He wants. God is willing to allow Himself to be limited in the free
choice of His people, and He does not want to control His children like moving
pieces on a chessboard. It is wise for God to do this, for He knows what He
will gain at the end of the age. In eternity past, God was not limited by any
means, because there was no will other than God's. In the eternity to come, He
will also be free from any restrictions, because at that time, love has
conquered all, and the free will of man and His will will become fully one.
This speaks of His glory!
But now, in time, God has made Himself limited. God can accomplish His plan today only when man's free will cooperates with Him. Free will means that I can choose to obey God or not. It is as if God had placed a enormous power locomotive in our hands and charged us to construct the rails. The locomotive is ready and the purpose is defined, but it is not the locomotive that controls the rails, but the rails that have the capacity of power to restrain the locomotive. "Ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you." (John 15:7) Oh! How great is our responsibility!
