 293     The Almighty God can completely work everything for him.    全能的神能為他成全大事.                2/10/2013

二月十日曠野筵席，神充滿了對我們的應許，在祂沒有難成的事。

在亞伯蘭九十九歲的時候，耶和華向他顯現，對他說，「我是全能的神，你當在我面前作

完全人。」（創17:1） 

神沒有向那強壯的亞伯蘭說這句話，因那時他還能夠產生出一個像以實瑪利的儿子來。神一直等到祂的仆人完全沒有辦法了，即使他想還要生一個以實瑪利也是無能為力了，然后（惟有等到這個時候）神才向他重新顯現，啟示祂是全能的神。

沒有任何跡象，顯示亞伯蘭對他自己的光景會有過悔悟，甚至以實瑪利在他眼中，反而變得更加寶貝了。他到底有沒有覺悔自己的錯誤呢？他有沒有尋求神呢？如果他還不知道自己的錯誤，真的沒有尋求神，那從人的觀點看來，他似乎是沒有多大出息了！然而有沒有出息并不系于他要神，乃系于神要他。神的确要他！神仍然沒有停止在祂的仆人身上做工，祂沒有放棄亞伯蘭。神向他說，「你要認識我是全能者」，「并要行走在這認識的光中」，「也要作完全人」。作「完全人」是什么意思？是要他完全地軟弱，徹底地無能，好讓全能的神來成全一切。

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “ I am God Almighty, and be perfect before Me." (Genesis 17:1) 

God didn't say this to the strong Abram, because he could have still a son as Ishmael. God waiteduntil His servant was completely helpless, powerless even if he wanted to have another Ishmael, and then (and only then) God reappeared to him, revealing that He is Almighty God.

There is no sign that Abram ever repented of his own situation, and even Ishmael became even more precious to him. Did he ever regret his mistake? Did he seek God? If he still doesn't know his mistakes and really doesn't seek God, then from a human point of view, he doesn't seem to be very promising! However, whether he is successful does not depend on his wanting God, but on God wanting him. God does want him! God still didn't stop working on His servant, He didn't give up on Abram. God said to him, "You must know that I am Almighty", "and walk in the light of this knowledge", "and be a perfect man". What does it mean to be "perfect"? It is to make him completely weak and completely incapable, so that the Almighty God can completely work everything for him.
