我們在天上的父, 願人都尊祢的名為聖, 願祢的國降臨, 願祢旨意行在地上, 如同行在天上.   我們日用的飲食, 今日賜給我們.  免我們的債, 如同我們免了人的債.  不叫我們遇見試探, 救我們脫離兇惡.  因為國度, 權柄, 榮耀, 全是祢的, 直到永遠.  奉主耶穌的聖名禱告.  阿們.

April 16.        Our Source of Identity.      Bible reading : Luke 9:23-26            Key verse: Luke 9:24       4 月 16 日     我們的身分來源。            讀經 : 路加福音 9:23-26                關鍵經文: 路加福音 9:24

                          For  whoever desires to save his life will lose it,                                                                                          but whoever loser his life for My sake will save it.                                                                                      因為凡欲救自己生命的，必喪掉自己生命；                                                                                          但凡為我喪掉自己生命的，自己的生命必得救。

        Teenagers often search for identity through tole models such as actors and sports figures.  However, these may be the very people whose lives are coming apart at the seams.  Adults do the same thing, only they are more likely to seek self-gratification through financial gain and social position.                年青人經常尋找演員和體育人物來認同尋找身份。 然而，這些人的生活正處於破裂的可能。 成年人也做同樣的事，只是他們更進一步,  透過經濟利益和社會地位來認同身份的滿足。

        Because we are Christians, our only true source of identity is Jesus Christ.  He is our example  for sucessful living.  Searching for this in another person or social position leads only to disappointment.  But mny who profess to know Jesus as their Savior refuse to acknowedge Him as Lord over ecery area of their lives.  Attitude such as pride, selfishness, greed, and materialism arise from hearts that are not fully committed to Christ.  Jesus made it clear that in order for us to save our lives, we must be willing to lose them unto Him (Luke 9:2                                                                                                                        因為我們是基督徒，我們唯一認同身分的來源只是耶穌基督。 祂是我們成功生活的樣式。 在世上尋找另外的人,  或社會地位上的認同,  肯定會導致失望。 但許多自稱認識耶穌為救主的人,  卻拒絕認同祂是我們信基督人的生命各方面的主。 諸如 : 驕傲、自私、貪婪和唯物主義之類的心態,  都出於未完全委身於基督的內心。 耶穌明確地表示，為了拯救我們的生命，我們必須願意為祂而失去生命（路  9:24）

          Peter reminded us that we are really aliens, strangers to this world because of our love and devotionto Jesus Christ.  Therfore, we are not to seek gratification in temporal pleasures.  God chose us to know Him and to experience the wonder of His mercy and grace.  Our identity is secure because of who lives inside us and not who we are.                                                                                                               彼得提醒我們，由於對耶穌基督的愛和奉獻，對這個世界來說,  我們確實是外星人、陌生人。 因此，我們不要追求暫時的快樂。 上帝選擇我們來認識祂,  並經歷祂奇妙的憐憫和恩典。 我們與祂身分的認同是安全的，是因為誰住在我們裡面，而不是我們是誰。

        Have you settled the identity issue?  If not , ask God to reveal the areas in your life that true commitment to Him.                                                                                                                                           你的身分認同解決了嗎？ 如果還沒有，請禱告求上帝啟示你生命中真正委身於祂的領域。
