「半夜有人喊著說，新郎來了，你們出來迎接祂！」（太   25:6 新國際版）

就是因著新郎的遲延，才把那十個童女的屬靈景況顯露出來。我怎樣才能准備主的再來呢？有些信徒在五年前，是准備好了迎接主的，但万一主今天來，他反而沒有准備。要是祂現在就來，我們最好今天就准備妥當，但如果祂遲延，一直准備著是同樣要緊的。我們能否在等候中仍然准備不懈呢？有些信徒能夠等候三天，卻不能等候三年。有的能夠在困難的日子中堅持三年，但主可能要他們等候三十年，那又如何呢？讓我們思想一下這件事：如果新郎在半夜之前來了，那么所有的童女豈不都是聰明的么？然而就是因著祂的遲延，才將她們的愚昧顯露出來。愿神保守我們，不因著年日的過去或延長而變成愚昧的。只有一件事能夠保證我們，可以應付時間的考驗，那就是圣靈的充滿。讓我只知道，時時刻刻被祂的圣靈所充滿。這樣，當那半夜的大呼聲發出時，我們的燈便不至于缺油了。

"There is a cry at midnight, saying, The bridegroom has come; come out to meet him!" (Matthew 25:6 NIV)

The ten virgins' spiritual condition was revealed, because of the bridegroom's delay. How can I prepare for the Lord's return? Some believers were ready to welcome the Lord's return five years ago, but if the Lord comes today they are not ready . If He comes now, we had better be ready in anytime, but if He delays, we will not miss it. Can we be ready while we wait? Some believers can wait for three days, but cannot wait for three years. Some can last three years in difficult times, but the Lord may make them wait more time to thirty years, so what? Let us consider this. Are all the virgins wise, if the bridegroom comes before midnight,  aren't they? Yet it was His delay that revealed the virgins' folly. May God keep us from becoming foolish as the years pass or prolong. There is only one thing that can assure us against the test of time, and that is the full of the Holy Spirit within us. Let me just know, be fully filled  with Holy Spirit moment by moment. That way our lamps won't run out of oil whenever that midnight cry comes out.
