例如, 我就是不喜歡她. 英文 I do not like her anyway. 他可惡到極處. 英文 He does behave badly. (behave已經是動詞, 再加does表示到極 處.)
我到底該怎麼辦? 英文 What am I going to do? (這是表明現在時制的助動詞.) 我還沒有做完. 英文 I haven't done it yet. (這是表明過去時制的意思.)

真正敬拜神，或是崇奉偶像，乃是決定以色列興衰存亡的因素。在希西家時候的复興，是由于敬拜的复興帶進來的。在所羅巴伯時候的复興，也是如此。被擄對以色列人是一個嚴厲的刑罰，但那更嚴重的還是在于他們終止了敬拜這件事上。因為神若沒得著祂的分，祂的子民也就要失去他們的分。人所受最重的懲罰，就是被禁止而不得事奉神。
「我們的神乃是烈火」，凡是在我們里面能夠被燒去的，都要被燒掉。當我看到我們在印度的弟兄面伏于地敬拜主時，我常常受到感動。在神面前的「敬虔和畏懼」，是我們該有的合宜態度。我們若有這一個，而同時里面与神的關系又是和諧無阻的，那我們這些作祂儿女的就不至被燒掉。這就是但以理那三個朋友的經歷。他們對于敬拜這首要的問題是最清楚的。他們很堅決的說，我們所事奉的神能拯救我們。尼布甲尼撒王那微不足道的火窖，對于那些在永恒烈火跟前順服主的人，是算得什么呢？他們沒有什么是世界之火可以燒毀的。

True worship of God, or worship of idols, was the factor that determined Israel's rise and fall. The revival at the time of Hezekiah was brought in by the revival of worship. The revival at the time of Zerubbabel was the same reason. Captivity of the Israelites was a severe punishment for them, but it was even more serious in the fact that they ceased to worship their God. For if God does not have His worship from them, His people will also be forbidden from serving their God. The man who worship idols can receive worst punishment to be forbidden from serving God.
"Our God is a consuming fire," and whatever can be consumed within us will be consumed. I am often touched, as seeing our brothers bow their faces to the ground and worship the Lord in India . Awesome and fear God is the proper attitude we should have. If we do have this, and have an harmonious and unimpeded inward relationship with God at the same time, then, His children will not be burned. That was what the experience of Daniel's three friends had. They knew the clearest about the overriding question of worship, and insist that the God we serve can save us. What is the insignificant furnace of King Nebuchadnezzar to those who obey the Lord before the eternal fire? They have nothing in the world for the fire to consume.
