        In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He Loved us and sent His Son to be the propitation          for our sins.                                                                                                                                                    這就是愛, 不是我們愛上帝, 而是祂先愛我們, 並差遣祂的兒子為我們的罪作了挽回祭.

From the beginning of time, God has been the Initiator of love  (1 John  4:10).  Inhis book Lectures in Systematic Theology, Henry Thiessen write,  "He is unlike the gods of the heathen, who hate and angry, and the god of the philosopher, who is cold and indifferenct."  God loves us with a personal and intimate love.                                                                                                                                              有始以來, 上帝就是愛的創始者（約壹 4:10）.  亨利·蒂森在他的《系統神學講座》一書中寫道：“他不像外邦的廊祗, 帶有仇恨和憤怒, 也不像冷漠和無情哲學家的神. ”  上帝愛我們, 是個人和的親密的愛.

Those who have yet to discover the intimacy of God often view Him as being cool and demanding toward His creation.  But nothing is farther from the truth.  Even in the Old Testament, we find God constantly moving toward mankind in an efford to reveal more of Himself on an intimate basis.  Love motivates Him to do this.                                                                                                                            那些還沒有發現上帝的他親密關係的人, 常常認為上帝對祂的創造物很冷淡, 並且要求很高.  但事實並非如此.  即使在舊約中, 我們發現上帝不斷地親近人, 祂努力在親密的基礎上, 更多地啟示祂自己.  愛激勵祂這樣做. 

In fact, love is the motivating factor of every true relationnship.  It motivateed the heart of God not to destroy man in the Garden of Eden.  And it was the one thing motivated Him to deliver Isarel from the Egyptians.                                                                                                                                                    事實上, 愛是任何真正親密關係推動的因素.  它激勵上帝的心, 不要毀滅伊甸園裡的人.  有件事, 是愛促使上帝將以色列人, 從埃及人手中拯救出來.

Love brought down the wall of Jericho, and love was the motivation behind the come of Christ,   Love  took our place on Calvery's cross and later rose from the grave. And love reaches out to us each day with freshness and hope.                                                                                                                              是愛的大能將耶利哥堅固的城牆推倒了, 愛是基督道成肉身的動力, 因祂的愛, 祂在加略山的十字架上取代了我們罪人該死的事, 後來祂又從墳墓中復活.  祂的愛每天都帶著新鮮和希望來到我們生活中.

You were created by love to live within its embrace.  Many wonder how God could love them so deeply.  But He does.  He is love, and He loves you and me.                                                                      你是由愛創造的, 活在主愛的懷抱中.  許多人想知道, 上帝怎麼能如此深深地愛我們,  但祂愛我們確實如此.  因祂是愛, 祂愛你和我.                                                                                                                    

               Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are not a cold, indifferent God.  Thank You for                             reaching out to me in love.                                                                                                                           天父阿!  我感謝祢, 因為祢不是冷漠, 和不關心祢子民的上帝.  謝謝祢用愛來向我伸出                   手手.
