                If it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,                  whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the                      gods of  the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.  But as for me and my house, we will serve                   the Lord.                                                                                                                                                       如果事奉上帝對你們來說是不好的, 今天你們就可以自由選擇要事奉的神, 是你們的列                   祖在大河對岸所事奉的神祗, 還是你們所居住之地的亞摩利人的神祗, 但我和我的家,                     都會事奉主.

Paul wrote about the conflict between the believer's new nature and the power of sin.  Our sin is rooted in Adam, while our new nature is founded in Jesus Cgrist.  The part of us that is tempted tosin is the part belonging to Adam.                                                                                                                              保羅寫到有關信徒的新生人性與罪的權勢之間的衝突.  說到我們的罪來自列祖亞當, 而我們的新生本性則是建立在信耶穌身上.  故老我受試探犯罪是屬於亞當的部分.

        When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you were given a new nature that is eternally rooted in God's Son.  The difficult part is that while you are spiritually a new creature, you live in a fallen world with all kinds of trials and temptations.                                                                                            當你接受耶穌基督為你的救主時, 你就有了永遠紮根於上帝兒子主耶穌基督的新本性.  困難在靈命上您是新造的人, 但卻活在充滿各種考驗和誘惑的墮落世界裡.

        God created you with a free will.  Therefore, you must choose between right and wrong.  Obvious sins such as adultery and murder are easily detected, but what about sind such as envy, jealousy, lying, pride, gossip, and lust?  Are you as quick to walk away from them?                                                                  上帝是以自由意志創造了您.  因此, 您必須在對與錯之間做出選擇.  通姦和謀殺等明顯的罪很容易發現, 但猜忌、妒嫉、說謊、驕傲、閒言和情慾等罪又當如何呢？ 您會很快的離開它們嗎？

        Many people toy with sin because their perspective of God is inadequate.  They have yet to grasp the full extent of God's love for them.  When they do, sin is no longer an option.                                              許多人玩弄罪惡, 因為他們對上帝的認識不清.  他們還沒有完全領悟上帝對他們的愛.  當他們這樣做時, 罪就不再是自由選擇了.

        Genuine repentance results in changed desires.  Allowing your new nature to outshine your old nature is a matter of submitting your life to Jesus Christ on a daily basis.  If you keep tripping over the same sin, ask God to reveal the reason why you are struggling.  God's greatest provision is His eternal forgiveness.                                                                                                                                                          真正的悔改會導致本性慾望的改變.  就是每天將您的生命交託給耶穌基督, 讓祂使您的新本性超越舊本性,  如果您天天被同一樣的罪絆倒, 祈求上帝啟示您對此罪掙扎的原. 祂最大的賜福就是永遠的赦免.

                    Dear Gd, please reval the reason why I am struggling so that I can deal with my sin and                           allow my new nature to outshine my old nature.                                                                                         親愛的上帝，懇求祢啟示我為何對該罪掙扎的原因, 以便能夠遵照祢的旨意處它,                           並讓我的新生的本性超越老我的舊本性.
