Morning, June 3
Scripture: “These were potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.”(1 Chronicles 4:23)

Potters are not a very noble job, but the king needs them, so they work in the palace. Although they only do the work of kneading clay, they are indispensable. The same goes for us. On God’s field, what we do may be trivial things, but being able to do something for God is also a privilege and honor.

Those workers who work in factories are in a dirty and noisy environment, and they long for the opportunity to change to an elegant and quiet environment. However, because this is a job arranged by God, they are willing to stay where they are. The place where we live is fixed and we cannot move at will. We should learn to serve God in the appointed environment and let ourselves be a blessing to those around us. Although these potters and gardeners were doing hard work, they had the opportunity to witness the king's splendor. Even if we do very humble work that others despise, such as visiting prisons, slums, and factories, God will be with us. Because we know very well that as long as we serve God and work for Him, we will receive His praise and affirmation.

Unknown preachers, although you are serving God in obscurity in barren and desolate areas, or in crowded and noisy cities. Although the environment is not very satisfactory, you must not lose heart. The weeds will turn into flowers, and the earthen vessels will be filled with treasures. Keep going by faith, just love God and do everything for Him, and God will remember you and write your name in the book of life.
