一月二十九日  晚禱    

O God, immortal , eternal, invisible, I remember with gladness and                                                 無形無像, 永生不滅的上帝啊, 我謹以感謝和喜樂的心,                                                      thanksgiving all that You have been to this world of men:記念你為世人所作的一切:

  Companion of the brave: 你是勇敢的人的伴侶,                                                                                    Upholder of the loyal: 是立志忠貞的人的扶助者,                                                                                   Light of the wanderer: 是徘徊歧路的光明,                                                                                             Joy of the pilgrim: 是移民者的喜樂,                                                                                                        Guide of the pioneer: 是拓荒者的嚮導,                                                                                                  Helper of labouring men: 是勞動者的幫助,                                                                                           Refuge of the broken-hearted: 是傷心断 腸心的庇蔭,                                                                          Deliverer of the oppressed: 是被压廹者的拯救者,                                                                                Succour of the tempted: 是被誘惑者的救援者,                                                                                     Strength of the victorious: 是得勝者的力量,                                                                                      Ruler of rulers: 是統治者的統治者,                                                                                                  Friend of the poor: 是貧苦人的朋友,                                                                                             Rescuer of the perishing: 是滅亡人的救拔者,                                                                                  Hope of the dying. 是臨死人的希望.

         Give me faith now to believe that You can be all in all to me, according to my need, if                     求主賜的信心, 相信主是我的一切, 只要我能拋棄我那依靠自己的驕傲,                               only I renounce all proud self-dependence and put my trust in You.                                                   完全信靠, 主必按我所需要的給我.

          Forbid it, O Father, that the difficulty of living well should ever tempt me to fall into                      父啊,  我深佑為善之难, 求你不要叫我因此陷於疏忽和失望.                                                any kind of heedlessness or despair.  May I keep it ever in mind that this human life was             求父容我終生牢記, 这屬世的人生是主耶穌所度過的,这擾攘塵世是                                          once divinely lived and this world once nobly overcome and this body of flesh, that now               主所克服过的, 这磨折我的血肉之軀是                                                                                                   so sorely tries me, once made into You perfect dwelling-place.                                                             曾經作為主的灵所住的聖所.

         Show Your lovingkindness tonight, O Lord, to all who stand in need of Your help.  Be                     求主今夜对一切需要幫助的人顯示慈愛; 與軟弱的人同在, 使他們變為                              with the weak to make them strong and with the strong to make them gentle.  Cheer the               有力的; 與強壮的人同在, 使他們變為温和的; 與寂寞的人同伴, 使他們有喜樂;                              lonely with Your company and the distracted with Your solitude.  Prosper Your Church               幫助心志紊亂的人, 使他們有                                                                                                                 in the fulfilment of her might task, and grant Your blessing to all who have toiled today             淡泊寧靜的心;  祝福你的聖教会完成使命, 並祝福那一切奉基督的                                                   in Christ’s name.  Amen.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　名勞苦工作的人,阿們.
