2/28/ 日 晚禱

       O unapproachable Light, how can I fold these guilty hands before                                                       不可仰視的光明啊, 在你面前,我的罪汚之手怎能拱拜呢?                                                              You?  How can I pray to You with lips that have spoken false and churlish words?                        我这說謊話, 卑汚的嘴唇, 怎能向祢祈禱呢?

   A heart hardened with vindictive passions:   我这瑕疵之仇必報的剛硬的心,                                      An unruly tongue:  我这顚倒是非的舌,                                                                                                   A fretful disposition:我这懷忿昜怒之脾氣,                                                                                             An unwillingness to bear the burdens of others:我这不願意為人分担重担的態度,                             An undue willingness to let others bear my burdens:我这叫人替我過度担負責任的傾向,               High professions joined to low attainments:我这好高鶩遠, 毫無成就的人生;                                     Fine words hiding shabby thoughts:我这巧言令辭, 以求掩飾的卑汚思想,                                          A friendly face masking a cold heart:我这面現友情, 而心懷冷酷的為人;                                             Many neglected opportunities and many uncultivated talents:                                                             我这放棄機會, 不肯培養自己才能的習慣.                                                                                                Much love and beauty unappreciated and many blessings unacknowledged:                                     我对祢所賜我許多的美, 愛, 與恩典, 未知珍視, 未曾感謝.

                    All these I confess to You, O God.                                                                                                              主啊, 这一切我都向祢認罪!

          I thank You, O loving Father, that, holy and transcendent as You are,                                                  慈愛的,父我感謝你, 因為祢雖如此聖潔高超, 然而祢对於我們这些俗                                                 You have through all the ages shown Yourself to be accessible to the prays of                                      而多过錯的人的祈禱,  却世世代代表示悅納.                                                                                          erring mortals such as I; and especially I praise Your name that in the gospel                                    我更要稱頌你的美名, 因為你藉着耶穌基督的福音,                                                                                of Jesus Christ You have opened up a new and living way into Your                                                    開了一條又親又活的路, 將你的慈恩, 白白的賜給一切無功可誇,                                                          presencem making Your mercy free ti all who have nothing else to plead.                                            無口可言的人. 容我此刻脫離我自己, 躲入祢的胸懷, 以求得着內心平安.                                            Let me now find peace of heart by fleeing from myself and taking refuge in                                        求主使我对於自己种种罪惡的失望, 由於祢的恩慈而变為喜樂;                                                            You.  Let despair over my miserable sins give place to joy in Your adorable                                        並將一切灰心喪志,  轉變為親的勇氣與服務的精神.                                                                              goodness.  Let the spirit of service.  So let me lie down tonight thinking, not                                      容我今夜睡在床上的時候, 不為自己的事. 或自己的希望與懼謀算,                                                      of myself and my own affairs, or of my own hopes and fears, or even of my                                        在你面前也不要想到自己的罪行,                                                                                                             own sins in Your sight, but of others who need Your help and of the work                                          只想到那些需要幫助的人, 以及我在这                                                                                                    that I can do for their sakes in the vineyard of Your world.  Amen.                                                      葡萄園中為他們所能做的工作. 阿們.

                    

主啊，當我今天在禱告中等候在祢面前時，求祢透過祢的話語對我說話。 淨化我的心，檢視我的動機，澄清我的目的，並幫助我從祢的角度看待我的處境。
