Grant, O most gracious God, that I may carry with me through this day’s life the              　　　最慈愛的上帝，　求祢使我今天一天能夠

remembrance of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ my Lord.                                   　　　　記念主耶穌基督受死的痛苦；

     For Your fatherly love shown forth in Jesus Christ Your well-beloved Sons;                                 　　     為了祢的慈父的愛，在祢愛子身上表明出來；

     For His readiness to suffer for our sakes;                                                                                             　為了主耶穌願意為我們罪的緣故受苦；

     For the redemptive passion that filled His heart;      I praise and bless Your holy name.                     為了祂的心裡充滿了救世的熱忱；　　我讚美祢，称頌祢的聖名．

     For the power of His Cross in the history of the world since He came;                                                 為主耶穌十字架　　在世界历史上对人類所發生的能力

     For all who have taken up their own cresses and have followed Him;                                          　       為那背負自己十字架跟隨主的人       

     For the noble army of martyrs and for all who are willing to die that others may live;                       為那自願捨生，叫人得生命的人；

     For all suffering freely chosen for noble ends, for pains bravely endured, for                                     為那為道殉身的聖徒，為那願意為高尚目標受苦的人                                                                           temporal sorrows that have been used for the building up of enteral joys;                                           他們以忍受一切痛苦來建立那永恆的喜樂；

             O Lord my God, who dwelles in pure and blessed serenity beyond the reach of mortal                      住在清真永和，超出凡塵以外的主上帝啊！

pain, yet looks down in unspeakable love and tenderness upon the sorrows of earth, give me          祢以不可言語的仁慈大愛眷顧世人痛苦

grace, I beseech You to understand the meaning of such affliction and disappointments as I　　　求祢賜我恩典，　叫我懂得我所遭遇的一切痛苦，失望的意義．

myself am called upon to endure.  Deliver me from all fretfulness.  Let me be wise to draw  　　拯救我脫離一切焦躁．　　　　　

from every dispensation of Your providence the lesson You are minded to teach me.  Give me a　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　求賜我一顆堅強的心使我能担当自己的重担．

stout heart to bear my own burdens.  Give me willing heart to bear burdens of others.                   求賜我一顆樂意的心去担当別人的重担．

Give me a believing heart to cast all burdens upon You.                                                                     求賜我一顆堅強的信心使我能够把一切重担交給你．                                                                             

Glory be to You, O Father, and to You, O Christ, and to You, O Holy Spirit, for ever and ever.        願榮耀永遠歸於聖父，聖子, 和聖灵．

流體力學分空氣動力學和水力學兩大部分.

水力學又分靜力學和水動力學.  是經驗之學. 近代出現的邊界層理論, 如, 當固體在流體中運動（或是一靜止固體放在運動的流體中），由於黏滯力的作用，在靠近固體表面的流體會有邊界層出現 。依照局部流場的雷諾數不同，邊界層內的流體可分為層流或是紊流. 涉及空氣動力學, 顯然與水力學的運作關係不大.

2300年前的都江堰水利工程是如何造就我國四川省成為下天府之國的. 在完全沒有水力學的環境下, 能在兩千多年前建造出這樣偉大水利灌溉工程, 顯出於我國工程師具有的特質, 正如徐老師在工程師節演講所說的那些.

二.  靠他的苦心探勘: 泯江 

       靠他愛國, 愛民如子的心腸, 辛勞的奔波探測, 再加上他的智慧.  在那時他知道分水要建埧.      但他沒有讀到建埧的資料, 只知道 “鲧陻洪水”——而失败，乃是工程技术不够, 工具不良, 無法擋住洪水.  但他也知道大禹用疏濬的方法成功.  所他採用了分水的方法.
