                    For this reason we also, since the day we heard it,                                                                        do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the                                      knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.                                                因此, 自從聽到別人為我們禱告這消息的那天起,                                                                    就不住地為你們祈禱, 祈求你們在一切屬靈的智慧和悟性上,                                                充分認識祂的旨意.                                                    

    Perhaps you are driving your car and a friend comes to mind.  It may be someone you have not seen in years.  Or you could be reading through devotions and God places a burden on your heart to pray for a family member.  His Spirit is calling out to you to be sensitive and pray for that person.                                                                                                                           也許您正在開車, 腦海中浮現出一位朋友.  可能是您多年未見的人.  或者, 可能您正在閱讀靈修，而上帝給您的心帶來了為家人祈禱的負擔.  祂的靈正在呼喚你要敏感, 並為那個人祈禱.                                                                                                                                                                     You don’t need to know what the other person is going through in order to pray for him.  God will show you what is necessary.  One of the greatest blessings comes when you recognize the moving of the Holy Spirit and follow Him in prayer.                                                   您沒有必要認識是否是聖靈的感動, 並在禱告中要您這樣做.  上帝會啟示您怎麼去做. 當您認定是受聖靈的感動, 且跟隨祂時, 最大的祝福之一就會到來.

       Prayer is the greatest gift you can give another person.  When you approach the throne of God on behalf of another, you are doing exactly what Jesus has done for you.                                   祈禱是你可以給予他人的最偉大的禮物.  當你代表他人走近上帝的寶座時, 你所做的正是耶穌為你所做的.                                                                             

       Paul prayed that these early believers would have “all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord” (Col. 1:9-10).                                             保羅祈求這些早期信徒擁有「一切屬靈的智慧和悟,  使你們行事為人對得起主」（西 1:9-10）.

Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and   tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.      讓他憑著信心祈求, 不要有任何懷疑, 因為懷疑的人, 就像海中的波浪, 被風吹動, 翻騰.  凡是這樣的人, 不要以為他會從主耶穌那裡得到任何的祝福.

      It was 1866 in England, and pastor Samuel J. Stone’s congregation was in an uproar.  In fact, the Church of England was in a state of upheaval.  A certain bishop had just written a book concerning the authenticity of the first five books of the Bible.                                                              1866 年在英國, 沙母爾·J·斯通(Samuel J. That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot wrinkle or any such thing, but that she would be and without blemish.                                                                                                          耶穌基督使他用水藉著祂的道來洗淨教會, 使她成為聖潔, 為祂自己獻上榮耀的教會, 潔淨她, 沒有斑點, 皺紋等類的毛病, 乃是毫無瑕疵.

      It doesn’t take much to be lulled into thinking that a particular sin isn’t so bad.  The conscience becomes so muddied that it is no longer a sensitive instrument in God’s hands.  You cannot rust your conscience.  You must evaluate your life on the standards of God’s Word.                                                        人很容易就會認為某項罪, 並沒有那麼嚴重.  良心變得如此麻痺, 它不再是上帝手中可用的有效工具.  你不能讓你的良心麻痺.  你必須根據上帝話的準繩, 來評估你的生活.

                             Then Samuel said:  “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offering and sacrifices,                                   As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold , to obey  is better than sacrifice,                                           And to heed than the fat of rams.”                                                                                                                 撒母耳說,  "上帝喜悅燔祭和平安祭,                                                                                                         豈不同樣喜悅人聽從祂的話嗎？ 看哪, 服從勝於獻祭,                                                                           順命勝於公羊的脂肪.               Have you  ever considered the benefits of obedience?   Being accountable to  authority is a topic that is usually spoken of in terms of negative consequences, but obeying the Lord brings a wealth of blessing:  " A growing faith.  Obedience is a step–by-step process, beginning with the little things.  When you say yes to God in personal, daily matters you see how He takes care of the issue and consequences that arise.  Obedience in more difficult situations becomes and less of a struggle because you already have a foundation of faith on which to build. "                                                                                        你有沒有想過順命的好處？ 通常對權威負責是會帶來負面的批判的後果話題, 但服從主却會帶來豐富的祝福: " 不斷增長的信心.  服從是從小事開始,  一步一步循序漸進的.  當你在個人事務上, 常對上帝說 "是" 時, 你就會在日常事務上, 領悟到祂是如何關心處理你的問題和後果.  即使在更困難的情況下, 順命不再是掙扎, 因為你已經有了可以建立信心的基礎."

        A positive impact on others.  Others are watching your behavior, whether you realize it or not.  They want to see a difference in you life; they are eager to see the results of living for the Lord.  The fruit of the Spirit that God produces in yu brings a rich harvest for His kingdom as it blesses others.               順命使你對他人產生正面的影響.  無論你是否意識到, 其他人都在觀察你的行為.  他們都希望看到你的生活有所改變; 他們渴望看見為主而活的見證.  上帝在你身上所結出聖靈的果子, 會為祂的國度帶來豐收, 同時造福別人.

        A sense of security you reason for worry and anxiety are rendered null and void.  When you trust God to take care of you, you do not have to worry about negative response or failure or lack of support.          你為擔心和焦慮而產生的理由 --- 安全感會變得無效.  當你相信上帝會照顧你時, 你就不必擔心有負面反應, 失敗, 或缺乏的產生.

Then you will say with the Psalmist:        然後你就會和詩篇作者一樣的說:

         This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.             因此, 我自己至始至終, 力求對上帝與世人, 具有無虧的良心.

         Sometimes a subtle problem with the conscience develops.  If you experience feelings of condemnation but cannot identify the source, you may be the victim of a struggling conscience.  This is essentially a conscience in overdrive, excessively critical and hypersensitive.                                                     有時良心會出現微妙的問題.  如果你感受到譴責的感覺, 卻無法尋出其根源, 那麼你可能是受良心折磨的人.  在本質上是良心過度驅動, 過度圴要求和過度敏感的表現.

         For some, the cause is legalism or allegiance to man-made rules.  Others take on responsibilities that are no really theirs, and they feel blame when things go wrong.  In any case, false guilt is the culprit.                                                                                                                                                                     對有些人來說, 原因是猶太人的律法主義, 或是對人苛求的人造法律.  其他人承擔了原本不屬於他們的責任, 當事情出錯時, 他們會感到自疚.  無論如何, 錯誤的罪惡感才是罪魁禍首.

         Is there a cure for a conscience that is out of condition?  In Acts 24:16, Paul wrote: “I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”  He made himself transparent before God by confessing his sin, repenting, and recognizing the forgiveness and purity he had in Christ.                                                                                                                                                                     有葯可以治癒這種無虧良心的疾病嗎？ 保羅在使徒行傳 24 章 16 節中寫道, “我自己常常竭力對上帝與人都存無虧的良心. ”  他透過承認自己的罪, 悔改, 並認識到他在基督裡得到的寬恕和聖潔, 使自己在上帝面前變得透明.

        Ask the Lord to show you the truth about what is occurring inside your heart.  He will point out areas of concern.  When He reveals the problem to you, you must move immediately into repentance.  Remember that you can repent from sins only that you yourself have committed.  False guilt tries to burden you with others’ transgressions.                                                                                                               求主顯明你內心所發生的事件的真相.  祂將向您指出值得關注的地方.  當祂揭示問題時, 您必須立即悔改.  請記住, 只有你自己知道所犯的罪, 才能悔改.  錯誤的罪惡感, 常試圖讓你因他人的過錯而承受負擔.

However, when He,the Spirit of truth, has come , He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak  on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.          然而, 當祂的真理的聖靈來了, 會導你明白一切的真理；因為聖靈不會憑自己說話, 而是將所聽見的都說出來.  祂會告訴你即將發生的事.

      At the most fundamental level, your conscience gives you the capacity to distinguish between right and wrong.  It is like a personal alarm system that works for your protection .  You have probably had this experience : just as you were about to participate in or initiate something questionable, warning bells went off in your mind: Are you sure you should do this?  If you went ahead and did it, you surely had a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach that did it not go away until you made things right.                                                                                                                    在最基本的層面上, 你的良心賦予你區分是非的能力.  它就像個人的警報系統, 為您提供保護. 您可能有過這樣的經驗：正當準備參與或發起一些有問題的事情時, 您的腦海中的警鐘立刻響了；使您猶疑, 是否確定應該這樣做？ 如果你堅持要繼續這樣做, 你的胃就一定會有不好的反應,直到你把事情做好, 否則這種感覺不會消失.

         Only when you accept Christ as your Savior does the conscience function as God planned.  The Holy Spirit dwells within you the moment you place your faith in Jesus, and in His hands the conscience becomes a tool to assist you in making decisions according to God’s Word.                   只有當你接受基督為你的救主時, 良心才會依照上帝的旨意發出反應.  當你相信耶穌的那一刻, 聖靈就進住在你心裡面, 良心在聖靈手中成為, 幫助你根據上帝的話語做出使你決定的意念,

         You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and           that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.                 不是你們選擇了我, 而是我選擇了你們, 並指定你們去結果子, 且讓你們所結的果子長存,               你們奉我的名無論向父上帝求什麼, 祂就賜給你們.

                                 

              The late Francis Schaeffer observed that the average Christian’s objective in life appeared to be personal peace and affluence.  Whether we agree with His assessment, we must at least admit that subconsciously.  If not overtly, we prefer the pleasant over the painful, the comfortable over the distressful.                                                                                                                      已故的方濟 · 謝弗（Francis Schaeffer）觀察到,  一般基督徒的生活目標, 似乎只是求個人的平安和富裕.   無論我們是否同意祂的評價, 至少必須在潛意識裡承認這一點. 如果不是公開地表明,  我們是喜歡喜樂超過痛苦, 喜歡舒適而不是折磨.

              Despite this decidedly normal human disposition, you will stumble badly through the  Christian  journey if you adopt these longings as your chief aims.  Christ’s goal for your life transcends this limited perspective.  He has something far more sublime in mind for you --- to make you productive in the work of His kingdom.  This involves a process Christ termed pruning, a continual trimming of character and habits that are unproductive for you personal growth as a believer, conforming you to the image of God and the standard of His Word.                            儘管這絕對是正常的人性, 但如果你把這慾望作為主要的人生目標, 你就會在基督徒走天國的旅程中, 嚴重的跌倒.  基督對你生命的目標超越了這個有限的視野.  祂對你有更崇高的願望——讓你在祂的國度的作為富有成效.  這涉及到所謂被基督「修剪」的深意, 不斷地修剪你的無益的品格和習慣作為, 使你門徒訓練得以成長, 使你符合上帝的形象和祂話語的準則.

        As we grow up, we long for more autonomy, the freedom to make our own choices and function as adaults.  Can you remember waiting for certain "milestone" ages?  The day you could go to school, the day you could drive a car --- these are important steps in becoming mature.                                                     隨著我們的成長, 渴望有更多的自主權, 能夠自由地做出自己的選擇, 並像成年人一樣發揮作用.  您還能記得成長的各個 “里程碑” 年齡嗎？ 你可以上學的那一天, 你可以自己開車的那一天, ── 這些都是走向成熟的重要時段,

        If parents are wise, they help their children learn how to make the right coices for themselves.  In fact, from a social perspective, a person is often not looked upon as being a complete adult until he is able to support himself and be responsible for his dicisions.  That is why it is difficult for many to understand the principle of dependence when it comes to abiding in Christ.                                                      如果父母還明智的話, 他們應該幫助孩子學習, 如何為自己做出正確的選擇.  事實上, 從社會角度來看,  人在能夠養活自己, 並對自己的決定負責之前, 往往不會被視為是完全的成年人.  這就是為什麼許多人很難理解, 住在基督裡的信靠原則.

        The  prodigal son in Jesus' parable, in one way, represents all believes when we choose to go in our own direction with complete disregard fo our Father.  God does not want you to live as a child in the sence of being irrisponsible as you function in daily life.  However, He does want you to live as a spiritual child.                                                                                                                                                         在路加福音 15 : 11-32 中, 浪子回頭的比喻裡, 說明當我們選擇走自己的路, 而完全無視天父時境況.  上帝不希望你像個孩子, 對你日常生活的各樣事不負責任的心態.  然而, 祂確實希望你像屬靈的孩子一樣的生活.  

        When you order your life on the principles of God's Word, you can relax in His care, rest in His love, and know beyond doubt that He is leading you in a good direction.  He is the perfect Father, and He longs for you to return home again to Him if you are wandering in your own selfish ways.  It's never too late to be God's dependent.                                                                                                                              當你按照上帝話的原則, 來安排你的生活時, 你就可以在祂的看顧中輕鬆，在祂的愛中安息,並且毫無疑問地知道, 祂正在引導你走向美好的生活旅程.  上帝是完美的天父, 如果你仍在自私的道路上徘徊, 祂渴望你再次回到祂的身邊.  成為信靠祂浪子回頭的孩子, 永遠不會太遲.

                My soul keeps Your testimonies, and I love them exceedingly,                                                                    I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, for all my ways are before You.                                              我的心遵守祢神聖的法規, 極度喜愛祢的律例, 我遵守祢的訓詞和法度,                                              因為凡我所行的一切都在祢面.

        The apostle Paul was in prison when he learned that the church in Colosse was in danger of falling into heresy.  Doctrines were being taught that refuted the truth of the gospel message.                                      當使徒保羅得知, 歌羅西教會面臨陷入異端的錯誤教導危險時, 他正在坐牢.  異端教導反駁福音信息的真理的邪惡教義.

        A combination of Eastern philosophy, Jewish legalism, and elements of  Gnosticism was spreading rapidly.  Gnostics, emphasizing knowledge rather than faith, believed they had special knowledge when it came to spiritual matters.  The doctrine introduced to the Colossians was based on this man-made philosophy , not on the divine truth of God's Word.                                                                                              東方哲學, 猶太律法主義, 和諾斯底的基本思想的結合思想, 正在迅速傳播. 諾斯底教徒強調知識而不是信仰, 認定他們有特殊的知識在屬靈的事上超過信心.  向歌羅西人介紹的教義基於這種人為混合的哲學, 而不是基於上帝的話的屬天真理.

        The heretics in Colosse denounce the person and work of Jesus Christ.  They believed God responded only to perfection.  In their eyes the human body was evil.  Because Jesus came as a man, they were convinced He was only an emanation from God, not the Son of God in the flesh.  Anytime we add or take away from the gospel message, we deviate from its foundation truth.                                        在歌羅西教會內的異端, 譴責耶穌基督的位格和祂的作為.  他們相信上帝只對完美回應, 他們認為, 人身體是邪惡的.  因為耶穌是 "道成肉身" 來到世上, 他們相信祂只是上帝發射出來的, 而不是 "道成肉身" 的上帝的兒子.  每當對福音信息進行添加或刪除時, 我們就偏離上帝福音的基本真理.

        Similar problems face us today through the New Age movement and a number of religious cults.  Therefore, it is extremely impotant that you run everything you hear through God's grid system --- His Word.  If something does not bear witness to God's Word, then it is not of Him, and need to let it go.              今天, 我們同時面對新時紀運動, 和很多異端, 邪教, 提出的類似問題.  因此, 藉由上帝的網路系統——祂的話, 來過濾你聽到的一切話, 是極其重要的.  如果聽到的邪說, 不能見證上帝的話語, 那麼它就不是出於上帝, 需要丟棄它.

             To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and                                                           from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of                                                       sins and an inheritance amoung those who are sanctified by faith in Me.                                                   開啟他們的眼睛, 以便可以將他們從黑暗帶向光明,                                                                               從撒但的權勢轉向上帝, 使他們可以得到罪的赦免,                                                                               並與那些因信基督而成聖的人, 一樣獲得基業.

        Two powerful dynamics about the good news of Jesus Christ make it exceedingly attraction to man.                                                                                                                                                                      耶穌基督的好消息有兩個強大的動力, 使其對人極具吸引力.

        First, the good news of the gospel is divinely powerful.  When the wonderful news about Jesuss Christ's offer of salvation is heard and received, it comes with unequaled and unbridled power.                        首先, 福音的好消息具有神聖的力量.  當人聽到, 並接受耶穌基督施捨的奇妙救恩好消息時, 無與倫比的, 且不受約束的大能就會接踵而至.

        Embraced, the good news transfers a man from the kingdom of Satan ( living under dominion of sins) into the kingdom of God.  It ushers him into the presence of God from whom he was alienated.              人擁抱福音好消息後, 將從撒但的國度（生活在罪惡的統治之下）, 轉移到上帝的國度裡.  並把他帶到曾與他不和的上帝面前.

        We are no longer helpless to deal with our habits.  God is with us.  We are no longer prisoners of circumstance or passion.  God is for us and in us, sovereignly orchestrating our lives.                                      不再對我們自己的惡習慣束手無策.  因有上帝與我們同在.  我們也不再是環境或動盪的情緒囚徒.  因上帝在我們身旁, 祂在我們心裡面, 主宰著我們生活的一切.

        Second, once we partake of the goodnews, we possess a message to share with others.  We have truth, hope, encourage, confort and joy to share with others.  We have something to give that everyone needs.                                                                                                                                                                   其次是我們一旦接納了主耶穌的好消息, 就擁有了可以與他人分享的信息.  諸如: 真理、希望、鼓勵、安慰和快樂等好消息, 我們可以與他人分享.  並可以提供每個人都需要的東西.

        The good newa is hope for the hopeless, strength for the weary, peace for the striving, freedom for the oppressed --- and it is available to anyone who will receive it.                                                                       好消息是絕望者的希望, 疲倦者的力量, 奮鬥者的和平心境, 和受壓迫者的自由——任何願意接受好消息的人都可以享受這些恩賜. 

        Have you experienced the power of the gospel that is revealed in the Word of  God ?  If so, are you spreading the message about the good news of salvation through Christ?                                                          你是否經歷過上帝話中, 所啟示的福音的力量？ 如果是, 您是否正在傳揚基督得救的好消息？

親愛的博客訪問朋友, 我心裡放不下我國黃河, 每看到壺口瀑布, 就思想到多少可發電的水資源被流失.  不但沒有使它變成可供洗衣煮飯的電能源, 却有時造成洪水災害. 使千萬的河南省同胞流離失所, 向南部逃難. 

現在有了三門峽大埧及小浪底大埧治理黃河下游, 使帶沙的黃河沉積沙量達到三億噸, 可使地上河慢慢變為正常的地下河了. 靠的是小浪底大埧調沙的功能.  可是要使它就範, 成為母親河養育我們還要等到何時? 我的意思要成為長江那麼樣, 能發電供洗衣煮飯的能源, 就危老百姓上山砍伐樹苗煮飯, 破壞多少苦心人做好的水土保持工程.

編輯者前介紹的過水堤防(overtopping dike)實在與明朝的治水大師潘季訓所創新的 “築堤束水，以水攻沙”, 有大堤, 縷堤, 月堤, 遙堤, 隔堤, 等... . 過水堤防實相似.  過水堤防的主堤就潘季訓所說的大堤.  但前者沒有假設被沖破的假設. 讓洪水越頂就是要消失洪水的沖力. 讓上面部分的洪水越頂而過, 使堤積蓄部分不致形成洪災. 這工程進行的時機必須有精密的水文資料 --- 在枯水季節進行.  要大力, 一鼓作氣的, 在一個枯水季節完全.  編輯者絕非紙上談兵.

                        The grass eithers, the flower fades,                                                                                                              But the word of our God stands forever.                                                                                                      草會枯萎, 花會凋謝, 但我們上帝的話永遠長存.

        In the book The Light and the Glory, Peter Marshall Jr. tells how Isaac Potts, George Washington's temporary landlord, once discovered the future presdent in prayer.  Potts, a Quaker and a pacifist, came upon Washington's horse tethered by a secluded grove of trees ... Hearing a voice, he approched quietly and saw the General on his knees at prayer.  Not wanting to be discovered, he stood motionless until Washington had finished and returned to his headquarters.                                                                                   在小彼得·馬歇爾所著《光與榮耀》一書中,  他講述喬治 · 華盛頓(George Washington)總統的臨時房東 艾薩克 · 波茨(Isaac Potts)如何在祈禱中發現了未來的總統.  波茨是貴格會信徒和和平主義者, 他看到華盛頓的馬拴在僻靜的樹林裡……他聽到聲音, 悄悄走近, 看到將軍跪在地上祈禱.  他不想被將軍發現, 所一點都不動地站著, 直到華盛頓將軍結束禱告, 返回總部.

        Potts then hurried to tell his wife Sarah, "If George  Washington be not a man of God, I  am greatly deceived, and still more shall I be deceived, If God does not, through him, work out a great work out a great salvation for America."                                                                                                                                波茨趕緊告訴他的妻子莎拉："如果喬治華盛頓不是上帝的僕人, 我就被大大地欺騙了, 如果上帝不透過他, 來成就祂拯救美國的偉大作為, 那我就更是受騙.”

        Washington once said, "It is impossible to rightly govern .... without God and the Bible."  This tremendous truth was one he would carry with him through the years of the American Revolution and then into the office of the presidency.                                                                                                                    華盛頓曾說,  "沒有上帝和聖經，就不可能正確地治理美國…  .  他在美國革命的歲月裡, 一直帶著這個偉大的真理信念, 然後進入總統職位.

        Joining Washington was Benjamin Franklin who wrote, "If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without God's notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?"                                                    班傑明 · 富蘭克林(Benjamin Franklin)也加入了華盛頓的行列, 他寫道：“如果上帝不允許, 一隻麻雀都不會落到地上;  那麼美國是否有可能在沒有上帝的幫助下革命成功？”

        The question is not, Has God forgotten America? but, Has America forgotten God and His Word?            問題並不是說,  "上帝忘了美國嗎？ 而是, 美國忘記了上帝和祂的話語嗎？"

                    For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that                                                                        whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.                                                          因為上帝愛世人, 甚至將祂的獨生子賜給他們,                                                                                        叫一切凡信祂的, 不至滅亡, 反得永生.

        The concept of news in our culture is overwhelmingly pessimistic.  Murder, extortion, political, corruption, disease, poerty, war --- these are the staple elements in the majority of influential news periodicals and television programming.                                                                                                              在我們文化中的新聞意念非常的悲觀.  諸如: 謀殺, 勒索, 政治, 腐敗, 疾病, 貧窮, 和戰爭——這些意念出自大多數有影響力的新聞期刊和電視節目的主要節目.

        Perhaps that is why the good news (the translation of the Greek word for "gospel") is viewd with skepticism and cynicism.                                                                                                                                      也許這就是為什麼人們對好消息（希臘語的翻譯 “Gospel '福音' ”）持懷疑和憤世嫉俗的心態的緣故.

        "There must be a catch somewhere," modern man sneers.  "I do not know of anything today that is completely good."                                                                                                                                                  現代人冷笑道,  "一定在什麼地方出問題,  今天不知道有什麼完全好的事.”

        What he fails to understanding is that this gospel, this good news, is about the perfect God-man, the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose offer of salvatiom is untainted and unblemished.  The startling good news of the gospel is that Jesus Christ has dealt with the bad news about sin, which infects all men, receiving its death blow on our behalf.  Now, man can receive the fantastic free gift of salvation by simple faith in Christ, belieiving that He died for our sins and rose again on our behalf.                                                           他對這個福音, 這個好消息, 是關於一位是完全的上帝, 又是完全的人的 "主耶穌基督", 有關祂所提供的救恩是純潔和完全聖潔的意念不明白.   福音是令人震驚的好消息, 是耶穌基督已經處理了關於罪的惡劣消息, 罪感染了所有人, 就為贖我們的罪被釘死在十字架上.   現在, 我們可以透過簡單地信仰基督, 相信祂為我們的罪而死, 並為我們復活而獲得奇妙的, 免費的救恩禮物.

        The good news of the gospel is for the asking.  It is free.  It is permanent.  It is for every age, every temperament, every color, and every creed.  No prejudice.  No strings.  No gimmicks.                                    福音的好消息是為了祈求而存在的.  這是免費的.  好消息是永久並且是適合每個年齡, 每種氣質, 不同膚色和每種信仰而傳播的, 沒有偏見.  沒有琴弦.  沒有特別裝置.

        The gospel is this:  God love you, died for your sins, and offers you His eternal friendship --- all that's needed is your personal response of faith,                                                                                                  福音是：上帝愛你, 且為你的罪而死, 並為你提供祂永恆的友誼 --- 惟一所需要的, 只是你個人的信心回應.

              Father, thank You for the good news of the gospel, which is revealed in Your Word.                                  Thank You that You that Your offer of salvation is free.  I humbly receive it!                                               我們在天上的父, 感謝祢在祢的話語中所啟示的福音好消息.                                                               感謝祢提供的救恩是白白免費的.  我謙卑的前來接受！

            We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which                                                        God ordained before the ages for our glory.                                                                                                   我們講述在奧秘中上帝的智慧, 這隱藏的智慧,                                                                                       是上帝在萬古之前, 為我們的榮耀所命定的.

        The people of Corinth were proud intellectuals.  They loved to debate, philosophize, and speculate, depending on their human reasoning to work through problems and understand their world.  It wasn't long before this cultural emphasis carried over into the church.                                                                          哥林多人是自豪他們的智慧, 他們喜歡辯論, 思考和推測, 他們依靠人的說理, 來解決他們的問題, 來理解這世界.  不久之後, 他們這種對文化推理的方式進入了教會.

        Paul didn't waste any time using the human arguments they were used to hearing.  Instead, he said, "[I] did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom .... For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and His crucified"  (1 Corinthians 2:1- 2).                                                          使徒保羅沒有浪費時間, 去跟隨他們對人習慣的看法.  相反的, 他說,  " [我]  在你們中間, 從來沒有使用過高言大智…因為我定了主意, 在你們中間不知道別的, 只知道耶穌基督並祂釘十字架"（哥林多前書2:1- 2）.

        Jesus is the foundation of our faith.  He is the one foundation.  Through Jesus alone, we are cleansed from sin, reconciled to and adopted by God.  The Word of God is the foundation of our beliefs.                                                                                                                                                                    耶穌是我們信心的根基.  祂是基督信仰唯一的根基.  只有透過耶穌, 我們的罪才能洗淨, 與上帝和好, 並被收養成為祂的兒女.  上帝的話語是我們信仰的基礎.

        Have you been sidetracked by minor issues?  Are you relationship with Jesus and conformity to His Word your top priorities?  Faith that relies solely on Christ and His Word makes you stable, secure, discerning.                                                                                                                                                             你是否常受一些小問題所困擾？ 遵守耶穌基督的話語, 是否是你與祂的關係首要選擇？ 全心信靠基督, 對祂話語的信心會使你堅定, 安全, 有洞察力.

         

                Make me stable, secure, and discerning, Lord, as I rely solely upon Your Word.                                         I want to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.                                                                  主啊,  求祢使我依靠祢的話語, 因為只有這樣, 才能令我堅定, 安全, 有洞察力.                                  除了想要知道耶穌基督和祂被釘十字架之外, 我什麼都不要知道.
