「..... , "這不是別的，乃是以色列人約阿施的儿子基甸的刀，神已將米甸和全軍都交在他的手中。"」（士   7:14 新國際版）

那最令人注意的，就是神憑著祂所喜愛采用的方法，向祂的仆人再三保證，以堅固其信心。在這里，我們看見眾多的侵略軍隊，如同成群的蝗虫。可是基甸卻事前被神教導，要一再的去遣散他自己的軍隊。要用著這剩下的三百人，去擊潰這眾多的米甸大軍。這似乎是荒謬而不合常理的事。因此，基甸對這場戰爭的胜負，好像沒有什么保證。就在這种毫無把握的情況下，他冒險進入敵人的營地去。

贊美神，當我們沒有辦法的時候，祂總是能輕易的為我們開一條出路。那一小隊的三百個勇士，實實在在是神拯救祂子民的器皿。祂的仆人基甸，竟然在困惑中，從他一個敵人的口，听到了保證他得胜的消息，那是最能鼓舞他信心的一個保證。他知道恐怖已經打擊了米甸的軍隊，難怪他听見后立即敬拜神。

"..... , "This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands." (Judges 7:14 NIV)

The most remarkable thing which God has used is what He likes to use to reaffirm His servants again and again to strengthen their faith. Here the numerous invading armies looks like swarms of locusts. But God told Gideon in advance to disperse his own army again and again. The remaining three hundred men were to be used to defeat the numerous Midianite army. This seems not unreasonable and absurd. Therefore, Gideon seemed to have no guarantee about to outcome of winning this war.  Under this uncertain situation, he risked into the enemy's camp for fighting.

Praise God  as we have no choice, He can always easily provide a way for us. That small group of three hundred warriors was truly God’s method to save His people.  As His servant Gideon was in confusion by chance to heard the news from the one of his enemies' mouth that Gideon will surely win the victory. That was the most inspired guarantee for making confidence to him. He knew that terrorable attacking had struck the Midianite army.  No wonder as he heard the news immediately kneellng down to worshiped God.
