515 中翻英 (215)                God is faithful.        上帝是信實的.                               9/9/2023

我們的主,  祢是信實的,  是充滿慈愛憐憫的上帝.  只要我們行在祢的旨意裡,  祢總不離棄我們, 直到祢成全了向我們所應許的.     奉主耶穌基督的名禱告.     阿們.

九月九日的曠野筵席是一盤豐盛可口的菜餚.   只要我們順服祂,   上帝永遠不會離棄我們,   親愛的主內訪友,   編輯者肯定向您作見證,   上帝是信實的.

「我也与你同在，你無論往哪里去，我必保佑你, 領你歸回這地, 總不离棄你，直到我成全了向你所應許的。」（創   28:15 新國際版）

雅各逃到伯特利時，雖然他的屬靈情況很低，但神卻沒有責備他一句。如果是我們，必定把他痛罵一頓！神是圣洁的，祂不喜愛雅各的欺騙行為。然而卻不加責備，因只是責備有什么用處呢？雅各不能改變他自己，神也沒有勉勵他要改良自己。但雅各不可能做得到的，神能夠做得到。神在祂自己的話里，顯示出祂對雅各那絕對的信心：「我必不离棄你直到我做成了」神知道祂的仆人不能夠逃出祂的手。當雅各在若干年后回到伯特利時，他已經被改變成為一個与前迥然不同的雅各了。「看哪，我与你同在。」這就是我們的安慰。

"I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." (Genesis 28:15 NIV)

As  Jacob fled to Bethel, although his spiritual condition was very low, but God did not rebuke him. If it were us, we would definitely scold him severely!  God is holy, and He disliked Jacob's deception.  However He didn't to rebuke him, for it is no use for mere to rebuk on him? Jacob could not change himself, and God did not encourage him to improve by himself. But what Jacob could not do, God can do. God showed His absolute confidence in Jacob in His own words,  "I will not forsake you until I have done it." God knew that His servant could not escape His hand. When Jacob returned to Bethel some years later, he had been changed into a very different Jacob. "Behold, I am with you." This is our comfort.
