519 中翻英 (219)      Only by Jesus' precious blood shed for us.      惟靠耶穌的寶血.          9/13/2023

「并我們心中天良的虧欠已經洒去，身體用清水洗淨了，就當存著誠心和充足的信心，來到神面前。」（來   10:22 新國際版）

我們除了借基督的寶血以外，還能憑什么膽敢進入至圣所呢？但我必須自問，我是否實實在在的靠著寶血，抑或借著其它的方法進到神面前？我說「借著寶血」，這是什么意思呢？這乃指著：第一，我認識自己的罪；第二，承認自己需要寶血的洁淨，第三，我親近神是根据主耶穌所成全的工作。我只靠著祂的功勞來到神面前，而永不能憑著我自己的德行。例如：今天我特別仁慈或忍耐，或者今天我為主做了一些工等等，都無濟于事。我也許看錯了，但我還是擔心我們中間有些人會如此想：「今天我比較謹慎一點，今天我做得更好一點，因此，今天我能更有把握地親近神，并能禱告得更好！」不是的！絕對不是的！一個清洁的良心，永遠不是根据我們的德行或成就，只能根据主耶穌所流寶血而成功的救贖工作。

“..... let us draw near to God with a sincere hearts in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilt conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”   (Hebrews 10:22 NIV)

What else can we dare to enter the Holy of Holies except through the precious blood of Christ? But I must ask myself that I am really relying on the precious blood, or by other means.  What do I mean as I say “by the precious blood” ?   It means:  first, I recognize my sins; then I admit that I need the cleansing of the precious blood; finally, my approach to God is based on the completed work of the Lord Jesus. I come to God only by His works, never on mine. For example: I had a particularly kind or patient today, or I did some special works for the Lord today, etc. It won't help.  Maybe I am wrong, but I do worry that someone may think that way, " I am doing more cautious today; and I am doing it a little better, so I can sure to draw nearer to God and would pray better."   No! definitely not! A great faith conscience is never based on our behaviers or works, but it can only be based on the successful redemption by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus on the cross.
