 「因為你們用什么量器量給人，也必用什么量器量給你們。」（路6:38）

我認識一位常會嚴厲批評別人的親愛弟兄，他最得意的見解是：「這是神的手。」如果有人病了，他就要說：「這是神的手在他身上。」有時候他可能是對的。有一天，一位他所不稱許的弟兄喪了儿子，不管你相信与否，他寫信給這位弟兄說：「這是神的手在你身上！」我看見了這封信，不禁因他如此的論斷弟兄，而滿怀義憤。還有令我惊駭的，就是當此事發生以后的兩星期內，他自己的儿子竟然生病不治而死了。就在這時候，這試探臨到了我，我提筆直書：「我親愛的弟兄，因著你的所失，我与你一同悲傷，但如果那人喪子是因為神的手在他身上，那么，你自己又如何呢？你肯不肯承認，是神的手在你身上呢？」我想，這些話是頗合時宜的。信寫完后，神的責備就來了。祂給我看見，我所做的，正是我所不稱許的。祂的怜憫，使我能懸崖勒馬。我于是把信撕毀了。要是我不愿收割惡果，我就得不要撒播惡种。

"For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38 NIV)

I know a dear brother who is very critical to others, and his favorite insight is, "It's the hand of God." If someone is sick, he says, "It's the hand of God on him." Sometimes he may be right. One day, a brother whom he disapproved of,  is losing his son. Believe it or not, he wrote to this brother and said, "This is God's hand on you! "    When I saw this letter, I couldn't help being filled with righteous indignation because he judged his brother in this way.   Furthermore to my suprise, the criticiser, whose own son fell ill and died within two weeks. Just then, the temptation came to me, and I wrote immedeately: "My dear brother, I grieve with you for your loss, but if a man whom  you  was judged, loses his son because the hand of God is upon him, So what,  then  it is about yourself? Are you willing to admit that God's hand is on you too?" I think these words are quite appropriate. After the letter was written, God's rebuke came. He showed me what I did  exactly as   that criticiser did. His mercy enabled me to rein in the precipice for stopping. So I tore up the letter. If I will not want tp reap the evil fruit, I must not sow the evil seed.
