六月十二日的曠野筵席對信徒是極為有價值的測試. 親愛的訪友, 您願意靠信心和禱告奉獻出您的五餅二魚, 使在饑餓中的追隨主的眾多新信徒得飽足嗎? 像奉獻五餅二魚的小孩一樣, 為愛我們的主作見證, 祂是萬有,萬能,無所不在,無所不知的上帝的兒子.
“我們只有五個餅和兩條魚，除非我們去為許多人買食物，否則我們不夠吃。” （路加福音 9:13 新國際版）
當主耶穌說給他們吃時，祂並沒有期望門徒們想出解決辦法，而是帶領他們期待神蹟。 但他們和我們一樣，選擇了簡單的方法，即不需要運用信心和祈禱的方法。 他們的解決辦法是 “去買”，這是不符合紀律的建議，因為法利賽人和撒都該人都這麼說。 這個建議並不是對主的信任的表達，正如約翰福音所表明的那樣，他們的想法是在錢包上，他們的錢不夠用！
"We have but five loaves and two fish, and we cannot have enough unless we go and buy food for many." (Luke 9:13 NIV)
When the Lord Jesus said, "Give them something to eat," He did not expect the disciples to plan a solution, but instead led them to expect a miracle. But they chose the easy way, just like us, that didn't require the exercise of faith and prayer. The disciples' solution was to "go and buy," an unworthy suggestion , for the Pharisees and the Sadducees said it also. This advice is not an expression of trusting the Lord, as the Gospel of John makes it clear, their thoughts were on the money purse, and they didn't have enough money!
