"He raised us
up together, and made us to sit together in the heavenly places in Christ
Jesus" (Ephesians 2:6 NIV).
What does
"sit" mean? When we walk or stand, our two legs support the weight of
our whole body. However, when we sit down, the whole weight of our body is on the chair. When we walk or stand, we gradually have a feeling of tired, but after we sit down for a while, we feel comfortable. When we walk
or stand, we use a lot of strength, but after sitting down, we are recovered
immediately, because the stress is not on our muscles and tendons, but on
something outside ourselves.
