「只是你這個兄弟，是死而复活，失而又得的，所以理當歡喜快樂。」（路15:32）

想到這個浪子回頭，他的福气是何等的大，就為他快樂。但是，失一子的是誰呢？不是儿子，乃是父親。是父親苦，是父親受虧損，是父親枉費了心血。所以父親說，我這個儿子是失而又得的，他們就快樂起來。我們曾否想到，我們若是有一次的回頭，有一次的順服，會叫神的心快樂呢？福音的最高點，不是給我們看見罪人得著什么，乃是給我們看見神得著什么。

當我每次想我揀選一條道路，順服神一下，竟然能叫神的心快樂，叫神有所得著，是何等的好呢。神能創造宇宙，神能增加東西与人，唯神對于一個人的心，有失去的可能，神沒法勉強一個人的心！我想：像神這樣大、像神這樣無所不能無所不有、像神這樣一位造化的主，竟然要從一個像微虫、像塵土的我有所得著，這是何等快樂呢？

 

June 1st

"But this brother of yours, who died and was raised again, lost and found again, therefore ought to rejoice and be glad." (Luke 15:32)

Thinking of the great blessing that the prodigal son will have when he turns back, I am happy for him. But who lost a son? Not the son, but the father. It is the father who suffers, the father who suffers, and the father who has wasted his efforts in vain. So the father said, my son was lost but gained again, and they became happy. Have we ever thought that if we turned our heads and obeyed once, it would make God's heart happy? The highest point of the gospel is not to show us what sinners gain, but to show us what God has gained.

Every time I think about choosing a path and obeying God for a while, it can actually make God’s heart happy and gain something for God. How wonderful it is. God can create the universe, God can add things and people, but God can lose a person's heart, God can't force a person's heart! I thought: How great is it that a God as big as God, omnipotent and omnipotent as God, and a creator like God wants to get something from me who is like a worm and dust? How happy is this?
