十一月十四日的曠野筵席是為今日的基督徒的生活所預備的, 為的是他們預嘗那將要來臨的天上筵席. 主耶穌基督要再來帶祂的孩子們一起復活升天享用祂榮耀, 喜樂, 和恩典的天上筵席.
「耶穌說，你們叫眾人坐下。」（約 6:10 新國際版）
今天我們基督徒的生活，是在預嘗那將要來臨的天上筵席，因神已經「叫我們与基督一同坐在天上。」（弗 2:6）而基督卻巳先借著神所運行的那大能大力，首先坐在天上，遠超過一切所有的（弗 1:20、2:6）。所以救恩的工作，完全是出乎神，沒有一點出乎人。并不是我們為神做，乃是神已經為我們做成了一切。神將安息的地位給了我們，祂將祂儿子耶穌基督所完成的救贖工作，帶到我們的面前，然后祂對我們說：「請坐」。我認為，主耶穌在馬太福音廿二章四節的比喻中，那邀請人們赴筵席的話語，是神賜救恩給世人的最佳無比之表示——「我的筵席已經預備好了各樣都齊備，請你們來赴席。」

Our Christian life
today is a foretaste of the heavenly banquet to come, because God has
"made us sit together with Christ in the heavenly places." (Ephesians
2:6) And Christ has already been through the one operated by God. He is the
first to sit in the heavenly places with mighty power, far above all things
(Ephesians 1:20, 2:6). Therefore, the work of salvation is entirely from God
and nothing from man. It is not that we do it for God, but that God has already
done everything for us. God has given us a place of rest. He has brought before
us the completed work of redemption by His Son, Jesus Christ, and then He says
to us, “Please sit down.” I believe that the words of the Lord Jesus inviting
people to the feast in the parable of Matthew 22:4 are the best expression of
God’s salvation given to the world – “My banquet has been prepared for
everyone.” Everything is ready, please come to the banquet."
