                         He who despises the word will be destroyed,                                                                                               But he who fears the commandment will be reward.                                                                                   藐視聖言的必遭滅亡;                                                                                                                                 敬畏十誡誡命的, 必蒙祝福.

In The Tender Commandments, pastor Ron Mehl uses a word picture to remind us of the importance of obeying God's Word.                                                                                                                                  在《柔和的誡命》中. 羅恩 ‧ 梅爾牧師用文字圖象, 提醒我們要敬畏上帝的話.

        My friend Larry told me about one of the first bike rides (sans training wheels) he attempted with his young son Matthew.  Going down a hill near their home ... little Matt lost control of his bike.  When the bike crashed, Matt went over the handlebars, landed on his head, and scooted along the asphalt for several feet ... on the top of his helmet.                                                                                                                我的朋友雷銳（Larry）講述他與年幼兒子馬太（Matthew）第一次嘗試騎自行車（沒有輔助輪的單車）的經歷.  從他們家附近的小山上滑下來時 … 小馬太失去了對他自行車的控制. 當自行車翻滾時, 馬太從車的把手越過, 頭著地, 沿著瀝青路面滑行了幾英尺…  是他的頭盔頂著他翻滾著地而滑行.

        When Matthew got up off the ground okey, just a little shaken, Larry  look at the helmet and saw that its top --- and not the top of his little son's head --- had been badly scraped and scored by the rough asphalt.                                                                                                                                                                  當小馬太從地上爬起來時, 還好, 沒受什麼傷, 只是人有點搖晃, 雷銳看了看他的安全帽, 發現他的安全帽的頂部 —— 而不是他小兒子的頭頂 —— 被粗糙的瀝青嚴重刮傷和粗糙傷痕.

        How do you think Larry felt about that helmet?   He loved that helmet.  He kissed that helmet.  He valued and honored that helmet, and used as an object lesson for his boy.                                                          你認為雷銳對那個安全帽有什麼感覺？ 他喜歡那個安全帽.  他親吻了安全帽. 他珍惜, 並尊重這頂安全帽, 並將其作為兒子的實物教訓.

        Proverbs 14:13 says : "He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the  comandment will be reward."                                                                                                                              箴言 14:13 說, “藐視聖言的, 必滅亡;  敬畏誡命, 必蒙祝福. ”

        A person who insists, scorns, and rejects God's Word will meet with destruction.  I wish I could say it in a nicer way, but I know it to be true and no overstatement ... The person's life will come to disaster in one way or another, and God's Word is not shy about saying so.                                                       凡堅持, 輕視和拒絕上帝的話的人, 將會遭到毀滅.  希望我能用更好的方式表達出來, 但我知道這是千真萬確的,  一點都沒有誇張……上帝的話真誠這麼說,  "人的生命會遭遇各樣方式的災難."

                Protect me with the "helmet" of your Word , O Lord, I honor, respect, and vale the truths it                      contains.  Help me apply it to my life today.                                                                                                用祢的話「安全帽」保護我, 主啊, 我尊重, 尊敬, 並珍惜其中所包含的真理.  幫助我                       將其應用到我今天的生活裡.
