禱告是認識基督耶穌的必經途徑,  若不常常禱告接近祂,   就會慢慢對祂的信心變弱,   甚至於離開愛我們的主.   像大衛合乎神心意的人,  他雖然犯下重罪,  但他知道立刻悔改,  禱告.  上帝還是認為他是合乎祂心意的人.    

五月八日的曠野筵席肯定合乎您的口味。親愛的訪友,  我們都有以外貌看人的人性。我們的主，祂不是。主耶穌看我們的內心。我們要跟隨祂必須從心裡開始。就像大衛,   他不穿戴頭盔，鎧甲，只帶著杖和五塊光滑的石子，以及一個甩石的机弦和信心, 出戰歌利亞,   因為他相信上帝會幫助他。

「因為耶和華不像人看人，人是看外貌，耶和華是看內心。」                                                          （撒上   16:7   新國際版）

掃羅身材出眾，「身體比眾民高過一頭」（撒上10:23）。難怪以色列民向他歡呼，因他們都能看見他的頭。然而，人的頭是何等容易時常攔阻神的旨意！大衛似乎懂得這一點，因而這位合乎神心意的人，再三地把屬人的理由放棄，只憑著簡單的信心而行動。當他要面對歌利亞時（歌利亞的頭，比掃羅的頭更加特出），他拒絕戴頭盔，穿鎧甲，只帶著杖和五塊光滑的石子，以及一個甩石的机弦出去。那塊瞄准的石子一發出，射進了巨人的額里，那巨人就倒下來了，那一天，大衛便顯為是未來的以色列君王。

從歷史來看，我們的歌利亞（撒但），已經在各各他被毀滅了，但從屬靈方面來看，掃羅（老舊的己）卻仍在我們里面生存著。今日許多基督徒，難處就是受他們自己的頭所管理，然而，我們不要轉向里面專看自己，因掃羅并非我們的敵人，而他的日子已被數算定了，如果這位具有牧者心腸的大衛要在我們中間設立寶座，我們對于那個沒有受割禮的非利士人（撒但），就必須有一种明确的態度。在屬靈的意義上來說，我們必會遇到那非利士人，而我們一定要胜過他。

"The LORD does not look at  the things man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7 NIV)

Saul has a outstanding stature, "his body was taller than all the people about   a head  " (1 Samuel 10:23). No wonder the Israelites cheered him, for they could all see his head. However, how easy it is for the human head to thwart God's will! David seemed to understand this, so this man who was after God's heart,  gave up   repeatedly   human reasons and acted only by simple faith. When he was about to face Goliath (Goliath's head, more prominent than Saul's), he refused to wear a helmet and armor, and took only a staff, five smooth stones, and a sling Sling out. As soon as the aimed stone was sent out, it hit the giant in the forehead, and the giant fell, and that day David was revealed to be the future king of Israel.  

 From   the point   view   of   History, our Goliath (Satan) has been destroyed at Golgotha, but from   the point   view   of   spiritual, Saul (the old natural) still lives in us. The problem with many Christians today is that they are governed by their own heads. However, we should not turn inward to look at ourselves, because Saul is not our enemy, and his days are numbered. If this man has the heart of a shepherd We must have a definite attitude towards the uncircumcised Philistine (Satan) who will set up his throne among us. In a spiritual sense, we must meet the Philistine, and we must overcome him.
