(283) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

(283)                I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, ...."     (Matthew 11:29 NIV )

What does it mean to bear the yoke of the Lord? This means being willing to surrander and to cooperate with the Lord in God’s plan. Of course, the yoke will restrict the movement of the cow, so that it cannot wander around the field as it is at its will, and must move according to master commander going straight forward on a line. Only in this way it can work correctively.  Here we see the value of humility of heart. Hence, we can see a humble heart being worthwhile.  For it is  never plans big things for himself, but is willing to accept the trust and position assigned to him by God, no matter how humble or small.  It does not matter.

In Matthew Chapter 11,  we see that the Lord’s public ministry seemed to have failed on the  outwardly, because only the babies understood and accepted His teachings. We may cry out at the Lord's encounter, "How meaningless it is!" But the Lord's words are, "Father, I thank you, for Your Words are so good." (Matthew 11:20) The Lord did not do it for Himself. No matter what He planned, He was fully willing to accept what God ordained. Our question now is: Are we willing to surrander for accepting the Lord’s limitations and walk with Him? Because the deepest rest is “the rest in our hearts.”
