"..... For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:10 NIV)

This paradox is the basic foundation of true Christian experience.  From my personal experience, I have come to understand it just alike Paul's thorn in the flesh. During that process, I prayed for deliverance, but the answer was no. Then a thought came to me: A small boat cannot pass through a deep gorge, because in the river, a big rock about five feet high to jut out and blocking the waterway. I have prayed the Lord to remove this boulder in this try.  But then a question arose in me: should I beg God to remove the five-foot-high boulder from the waterway?  or praying  God to raise the water level to five feet?  Our Lord answered Paul's prayer, "My grace is sufficient for you." Of course, it would be better to raise the water level to five feet!  In this way my troubles will be over. Christ does not help to remove the rock, but to raise the water level.
