(304) No Israel, there is no salvation. 12/7/0203

(304)            No Israel, there is no salvation.

"When he saw Jesus walking, he said,  'Behold, this is the Lamb of God.' " (John 1:36 NIV)

When John first declared that Christ was the Lamb of God, he added, "Who takes away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). In this way, he was powerfully witnessing the redemptive work of Christ. The second time, when he made this declaration, he simply said, "Behold, the Lamb of God." This time the focus of his testimony was on the Lord Himself, rather than the Lord's work. When we truly appreciate a person, we praise him for who he is. We love him more than we love his work. This is how our appreciation for Christ should be. We thank the Lord for His gifts, but we praise the Lord for His worth. Christ on the cross causes us to offer awed thanksgiving, while Christ on the throne causes us to offer joyful praise. When we see what He has done for us, we are deeply grateful to Him, but when we look at what He Himself is, we worship Him with love.

(303) I can do all things in Him that strengthens me. 12/6/2023

(303)                I can do all things in Him that strengthens me.

"I can do all things in Him that strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 NIV)

In the work of God today, things are often so constituted that we have no need to rely upon God. But the Lord’s virdict upon all such work is uncompromising: “Apart from Me you can do nothing."  For divine work can only be gone with divine power, and that power is to be found only in Lord Jesus.  It is when we reach the point of saying with the prophet, "I can't speak," that we discover God is speaking.  He never asks us to do any thing we can do.  God asks us to live a life we can never live and to do a work we can never do.  Yet by His grace, we are living it and doing it.  The life we live is the life of Christ lived in the power of God,  and the work we do is the work of Christ arried on through us by His Spirit whom we obey.

(302) Without Israel, there is no salvation. 12/5/2023

(302)   Without Israel, there is no salvation.

"Wnen they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter,  'It is the Lord!' " (John 21:6-7 NIV)

They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the moltititude of of fish.  That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.                                              (John 21:6-7 Another Translation)

As Jesus stood there on the shore , the strange thing was that none of them knew Him;  not even Peter and John who had ben most intimat with Him, nor Thomas who so lately had identified Him by His wounds.  The risen Lord was not to be recognized merely by human eyes, nor by hands of flesh.  Even when He spoke to them of familiar things, still they did not recognized Him.  But when the net was full, John sudenly knew.

Later, when on the shore Jess said, "Come and break your fast," none of them, we are told, dared ask Him,  "Who art thou?"  Knowing it was the Lord.  Here is a paradox.  In the ordinary way, if you ask a question, it implies a lack of knowledgr; if yu dare not ask, it suggest a fear of displaying that lack.  But there we have both fear and knowledge.  With the out ward man they feared but with the inward man they knew.  Often you cannot explain, yet there is an inward, divinely given assurance.  This is Christianity.

(301) God feeds us and gives us water to drink in wilderness. 12/4/2023

(301)            God feeds us and gives us water to drink in wilderness.

"Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness,  and sanctification, and redemption." (1 Corinthians 1:30)

God has given us Christ.   There is nothing now for us to receive outside of Him,  The Holy Spirit has been sent to produce what is of Christ in us; not to produce anything that is apart from or outside of Him.  He " was made unto us  ...... "  This is one of the grandest statements in Spiriture.  If we believe this, we can put there anythhin we need can know that God has made it good; for , through the Holy Spirit within us , the Lord Jesus is Himself made uoto us whatever we lack.  We have beenaccustomed to look upon holiness as a virtue, upon humility as a grace, upon love as a gift to be sought from God.  But the Christ of God is Himself everthing that we shall ever need.  Let us unhesitattingly draw upon Him.

(300) This is true worship what God the Father is looking for today. 12/3/2023

 600 中翻英 (300)          The Word became flesh (一).

December 3

“And they bowed down and worshiped Him.  Then they opened their treasures and presented their Him gifts with gifts of gold, incense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11 NIV)

The Gospel of Matthew is a gospel of kings. Those wise men said,  "We have come to worship Him." (Matthew 2:2)  From then on, they confirmed the authority of the Lord Jesus from the beginning.  Because worship includes all authority. The more we worship the Lord, the more God will reveal to us the reasons to worship Him. Before we pray, let us worship first, and we must worship when we preach. Let us raise our hearts of reverence and worship to the Lord in everything. This is the ministry that the church should fulfill on earth today —— build the worship of God. Unless we (the church) give worship to God, God will receive no worship in this world. Of course, we must not neglect other services, but we should always put worship first. Since the wise men have opened their treasure boxes to the Lord, how can we withhold anything and not present it to the Lord? What we offer should be incense (frankincense), not perfume. Our spices must be completely burned on the altar of incense before the fragrance can be released. This is true worship, and God the Father is looking for this type of true worshiper today.

(299) Lord, we keep Your word. 12/2/2023

(299)     Lord, we keep Your word.

December 2

"How shall a young man purify his ways? That he may keep Your word."                             (Psalm 29:9 NIV)

The Pharisees washed the outside of the cup and dish, but not the insides. Our Lord rebukes them for paying too much attention to outward things and neglecting the inner hearts' clean reality. Many of us have concluded from this that as long as we focus on the inner spiritual truths, everything will be fine. However, God requires that everything be clean inside and outside. Having only the outside without the inside is spiritual death, but having only the inside without the outside is only an elusive spiritual life. To cancel external things through spiritual means is not to be spiritual. The Lord’s command is: “This is what you must do, and this is what you must do.” (Matthew 23:23) God’s command, no matter how small it seems, is always an expression of God’s will. We never dare to Treated lightly. Even if we ignore His smallest request, we will not escape future punishment.

598 中翻英 (298) God is love. 12/1/2023

598 中翻英 (298)                 God is love.

December 1

"I wrote to you with great sorrow and anguish in my heart, and with many tears, so that you might know how much I love you." (2 Corinthians 2:4 NIV)

The ministry of healing and life must fundamentally come from experience. This fact becomes even clearer in the case of the apostle Paul. For example, the ministry in 1 Corinthians is firmly based on the person who was shown in 2 Corinthians.

In 1 Corinthians Chapter 1, Paul writes that God has chosen the "weak" in the world, and 2 Corinthians Chapter 12 reveals his own experience of weakness in strict reality. In the first letter he asks his readers to be united in the Holy Spirit, but in the second letter he actually shows how he is the one among them despite their resistance. In 1 Corinthians Chapter 13, Paul provides the paradigmatic text on this aspect of love, and in 2 Corinthians Chapter 12, verse 15, he asserts, “I will gladly spend money and labor on your souls.” Finally, in 1 Corinthians Chapter 15, he gives us the clearest teaching and introduction on the subject of resurrection in the New Testament, and in 2 Corinthians Chapter 1, he clearly states how urgently he himself Every moment requires trust in the “God who raises the dead.” Every lesson which he teaches is based on his own experience. Indeed, apart from this, there is no other basis on which we can minister Christ to others.
