                                If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally                                                  and without reproach, and it will be given to him.                                                                                        如果你們當中有人缺乏智慧,  讓他向上帝祈求, 祂會慷慨地,                                                                不需要再次的求,  就賜給所有的人, 並且他就會得到智慧.

   

        Through prayer, you come in contact with the tremendous power of God.  In prayer you acknowlege your inablility while professing your trust in Someone who will provide for your every need.  If there is a need for wisdom, God's Word tells you to ask (James 1:5).  If there is need for relief from stress, financial ruin, or some other trial, God is your answer and prayer is your connecting point.          透過祈禱,  你可以接觸到上帝的巨大力量.  在祈禱中,  你承認自己的無能,  同時表示你相信有人會滿足你所有的需要.   如果需要智慧, 上帝的話就會告訴你去祈求（雅各書 1:5）.  如果需要緩解壓力,  挽救濟破產,  或其他一些試驗,  上帝就是你的答案,  祈禱是你與祂的連結點. 

       Many Bible teachers have said that for a Chriatian, the distance between success and failure is the distance that it takes for him to drop to his knees in faith and  prayer.  We are not talking about naming and claiming something.  We are talking about placing our trust and hope in God who commands us to seek His face.  He may not not always answer your prayers the way you want Him to, but He will answer them in love, according to His plan for your life.                                                                                    許多聖經教師都說過, 對基督徒來說, 成功與失敗之間的距離, 就是信徒跪下信心, 和禱告的距離.  我們不是在談論祈求的東西和說明, 某些東西.  我們談論的是把我們的信心和希望寄託在命令我們尋求上帝的面的祂身上.  祂可能不會總是按照你想要的方式回應你的祈禱,  但上帝會根據祂對你人生的計劃, 以咸的大愛回應你的祈禱.

        Prayer allows you to step into the holy presence of God.  It also gives you a spiritual opportunity to know and experience an intimate love that cannot be duplicated by the world.  Make prayer a continuing goal in your life.  The Lord hears you when you call to Him (Psalm 141).  Also, study His Word for insight into the prayers of His saints.  Many books have been written on prayer; however, the greast manual on this subject remains God's holy Word.                                                                                        禱告可以讓你進入上帝的聖潔顯現.  並且也給你在屬靈上有機會去領悟和體驗世人無法複製的上帝的大愛.  讓祈禱成為你生活中必須的活力.  當你呼求主時,  祂會聽你的呼求（詩篇 141）.   此外,  研究上帝的話語,  藉以洞察祂的聖徒們的祈禱.  有很多關於祈禱的書;  然而,  關於這個主題的最重要的手冊, 仍然是上帝的聖言 --- 聖經.

                            You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go                                          and bear fruit and that you shoud go and gear fruit, and that your fruit should remain,                              that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.                                                              你們沒有選擇我, 是我選擇了你們,  並指定你們去結果子,  你們去結果子, 並且                                你們的果子應該常存,  這樣你們奉我的名無論向父求什麼, 他就賜給你們.

        Have you ever paused to think about the significance of saying "in Jesus' name" at the end of your prayers?  Maybe you've said it since you were a child and never questioned the meaning of the phrase, but in those three words is a world of truth about prayer.                                                                                    你是否曾經停下來思考過,  在禱告結束時要說,   "奉耶穌的名"  的意義？ 也許你從小就這麼結束你的禱告,  從未質疑過這句話的涵義,  但這三個字裡蘊藏著有關於祈禱的真理.

         "In the name of " means "by the power and authority of. "  For example, in certain legal contracts, you can be given special authority to act in the name of someone else or on that person's behalf.  You are allowed to make decisions and take actions as though you were that person.                                                 "以誰的名義" 的意思是 "透過誰的能力和權威".   例如,  在某些法律契約中,  你可以被授予以他人名義或代表該人行事的特殊權力.  你可以像所代表的人一樣有權柄做出決定,  並採取行動.

         In prayer, by saying "in Jesus' name," you acknowlege that what you're asking is through the power, authority, and permission of Jesus.  Jesus explained in John  14:13-14 : "Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."                                                                                                                                                在禱告中,  透過說,  “奉耶穌的名”,   就承認你所禱告祈求的,  是依靠耶穌的能力,  權柄,  和許可.   耶穌在約翰福音 14章13到14節中解釋說,  “你們奉我的名無論求什麼,  我必應允,  因此,  天父因兒子得榮耀.  你們若奉我的名求什麼,  我都必成就. ”

        Some have greatly misunderstood this verse, interpreting it as a license to ask God for anything in Jesus' ame and believing that God is then somehow bound to give them their desires.  What Jesus is really saying, however, is that praying in His name means praying according to His character and His will.                                                                                                                                                                        有些人對這節經文有極大地誤解了,  將其解釋為, 以耶穌的名義,  向上帝祈求任何事物的許可,  並深信上帝肯定會以某種方式,  滿足他們的願望.   然而,  耶穌真正想說的是,  奉祂的名禱告,意味著按照耶穌的品格, 和祂旨意禱告.

        Praying in Jesus' name is a serious matter and a matchless blessing.  His name is your assurance that He will shape your prayers in His image.                                                                                                     奉耶穌的名禱告是嚴肅的事,  也是無可比擬的祝福.   主的名字是你的確據,  祂會按照祂的形象塑造你的祈禱.

                       You will not need to fight in this battle.  Position yourselves, stand                                                             still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and                                                         Jerusalem!  Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against                                                               them, for the Lord is with you.                                                                                                                      你不需要在這場戰鬥中戰鬥.  猶大和耶路撒冷啊,                                                                                  擺好姿勢,  站穩,  仰賴主的救恩,                                                                                                                祂與你們同在！ 不要害怕或驚慌;                                                                                                            明天出去攻擊他們，因為耶和華與你們同在。

                          

        Jehoshapt's prayer was God certered.  He did not indulge in negativism by dwelling on the details of the difficulty.  God wants you to be specific about a problem, His desire is to move your focus onto His power.  Name your concern and begin with praise for His action and blessing in the past;  then express the truth of His omnipotence.                                                                                                                 約沙法王的禱告得到了上帝的應許。 他並沒有因糾纏於困難的細節而陷入消極主義。 神希望你具體地解決一個問題，他的願望是將你的注意力轉移到他的能力上。 說出你關心的問題，並先讚美祂過去的行動和祝福； 然後表達祂全能的真理。

        The king was no novice in rulership, and that wasn't the first kingdom problem.  He had learned the value of coming to God in absolute humility, acknowledging his utter dependence.  So complete was his trust that he never lapsed into self-reliance.                                                                                            國王在統治方面並不是新手, 這並不是王國面臨的首先的問題.  他領悟到以絕對謙卑來到上帝面前的必要,  認定完全的依賴上帝.  他的信任是如此徹底，以至於他從未陷入自力更生的境地。

        In other words, he could have quickly thanked God and then spread out th battle maps to make plans with his commanders.  In your situation, the temptation to figure it out youself may be the same, but God wants you to let Him handle the strategy.                                                                                                換句話說,  他本來可以趕緊感謝上帝,  然後攤開作戰地圖, 與眾將領們制定計畫.  依你的情形看,  你自己解決這個問題的誘惑可能都是一樣,  但上帝希望你讓他來處理這個作戰的策略.

        What is even more awesome is that while the king prayed, God already had their deliverance under way.  By the time the army of Judah arried on the scene, what they beheld was a field of corpses.  Not one foe was left standing.  God provided what they needed, and He supplied them with gracious abundance.                                                                                                                                                            更可怕的是,  當國王正在祈禱的時候,  上帝已經開始拯救他們了.   當猶大軍隊到達現場時, 他們看到的是在戰場滿佈了屍體.  沒有一個敵人還活著.  上帝供應了他們所需要的,  並以豐盛的恩典賜予他們.

        Trusting Him to provide the resources for every demand makes you a God-centered person.                    相信上帝會為每任何需求提供資源,  使你成為依靠上帝為中心的人.

                    Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,                                                                            And all these things shall be added to you.                                                                                                    先求神的國和神的義,                                                                                                                                  所有這些東西都要加給你們.

        Do you long to hve a close relationship with God, but getting there seems a distant dream?  In her book "His Imprint, My Expression," Kay Arthur helps you over some common hurdles to intimacy with the Lord.                                                                                                                                                               你是否渴望與上帝建立親密的關係,  但似乎是遙不可及的夢想？ 凱·亞瑟 (Kay Arthur) 在她的著作《他的印記, 我的表達》中, 它幫助你克服與主建立親密關係的一些常見的障礙.

          Maybe  knowing  God intimately has not been a priority..... or maybe you're so overwhelmd by simply trying to meet the demands of daily living that you don't see how knowing God intimately at this stage in life could be a priority.  That may be why you feel like you're treading water.  You're not alone....                                                                                                                                                                  也許親密地認識上帝, 並不是你的第一優先 ... 或它也許只是你為了滿足, 日常生活的需要而不知所措,  以至於你不明白在生命的這個階段親密地認識上帝, 如何可以成為你的第一優先事項.    這可能就是為什麼你感覺自己在踩在水中.   不只是你一個人如此....

         Seeking God doesn't mean that you are to stop earning your living, but it does mean that you may have to be satisfied wth less, rather than working harder and longer hours in order to have more!                     尋求神並不意味著要你停止謀生,  但它確實有使你在感到缺乏時,  可能得到滿足感,  甚至使你會打消意圖,  要更努力, 和更長時間的工作後, 是為了擁有的意念.

        Seeking God may mean you will have to lay aside some of your time-consuming activities.  Televsion, sports, bobbies.....  may have to go and maybe some of your ambitions.  But not your work.  God says that if you don't work, you shouldn't eat.  Besides, He promises that if you seek His Kingdom and His rigteousness, the basic s of life will be  provided (Matthew 6:33).                                                          尋求上帝可能意味著你將不得不放棄一些其他的喜好活動,  諸如,  電視, 體育, 喜愛事項等 ... 可能必須離開,  也許還要你拋棄一些野心.   但不是你的工作.   上帝說,  "如果你不工作,  就不應該吃飯.   此外,  上帝答應給你,  如果,  你先尋求祂的國度和祂的公義, 其他有關你生活的一切必需,都會得到供應（太  6:33）.

          Of course,  you'll never see the fullment of this promise until you do what God says.  But when you begin seeking Him, God in His grace will move on your behalf .....  God keeps His promises!                    誠然, 除非你照著上帝所說的去做,  否則你永遠不會看到這個應許的實現.   但當你開始尋求祂時,  上帝就會以祂白白的恩典為你作工…上帝信守祂的諾言！

                Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed                                                        a fast throughout all Judah.                                                                                                                            約沙法懼怕 (Jehoshaphat),  立志尋求耶和華,                                                                                            並在猶大全地宣告禁食.                 

          Jehoshaphat had a huge problem.  This good king of Judah had just received some bad news.  The armies of the Moabites and Ammonites were about to march on them.  It was a time of national emergency, and most leaders would have called their advisors or mustered the army, but not King  Jehoshaphat.                                                                                                                                                           約沙法有個大問題.  這位善良的猶大國王剛剛收到一些壞消息.   摩押人和亞捫人的軍隊即將向他們進軍.  當時正值國家在緊急狀態,  大多數領導人都會打電話給他們的顧問或召集軍隊,但約沙法王卻不然. 

        Jehoshaphat was afraid and sought the Lord.  He didn't falter, complain, or waste time in pessimistic thinking.  Instead , he immediately called the people together for a time of prayer with fasting.                                                                                                                                                                  約沙法害怕,  就立刻尋求耶和華.  他不動搖,  沒有抱怨,  也沒有把時間浪費在悲觀的思考上.  相反的,  他立即召集人們一起禁食祈禱.

         Notice the attributes of God he named at the beganning of his payer: "O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? " (2 Chronicles 20:6).                                 請注意他在禱告一開始就提到上帝名字的屬性：“主啊，我們列祖列宗的上帝啊!  祢不是天上的上帝嗎？  祢不是統治萬國的主嗎？ 祢手中不是充滿大能和權柄嗎？  因此沒有人能敵擋祢？"（代下  20:6）      

        The King recognized God's ultimate power and authority; therefore, he was not affraid of what mere men might do to him.  Furthmore, he showed that he was willing to be involved in the process of God's answer.  The king didn't mouth a halfhearted, unemotional statement; he prayed with passion and sincerity.                                                                                                                                                                約沙法國王承認上帝的終極力量和權柄;  因此,  他並不害怕普通人會對他做什麼.   此外,  也表明他願意參與上帝回應的對話.   國王並沒有發表任何懷疑,  也沒有帶任何感情色彩的言論;  他只是做充滿熱情和真誠地祈禱.

          Have you ever poured forth your heart to the Lord?  He wants you to cry out to Him and actively seek His deliverance.                                                                                                                                             你曾向主有過這樣傾心吐意的禱告？ 祂希望你向祂呼求, 並積極尋求祂的拯救.

             Teach me Your way, O Lord,                                                                                                                         And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.                                                                               主啊!   求祢教導我,  走祢的道路,                                                                                                               因為敵人,  求祢引導我走一條平坦的路.

        In her book "Discipline: The Glad Surrender", Elisabeth Elliot writes about the requirement of biblical meitation:                                                                                                                                                  伊莉莎白‧艾略特（Elisabeth Elliot）在她的《門徒訓練：喜樂的降服》（Discipline: The Glad Surrender）一書中談到了聖經默想的必要.  

                We have been discussing making an offering of the body, which is an act of worship                          .....offered by mind and heart.  The next thing we are to do is to let our minds be remade and our            whole nature transformed.                                                                                                                                   我們一直在討論將身體獻上,  這是敬拜必要的行為 … 用頭腦和心靈為主作工.   接下              要做的就是重塑我們的思想, 改變我們的整個老我本性.

       In times of prayer and miditation, do not try to "think about nothing."  "Set youe mind, " Paul said, not, "Empty your mind."  Set it on Christ, not on early things.  One phrase from God's Word can be taken and repeated quietly, asking that we may be given .....  the spiritual power of wisdom and vision, by which there comes the knowledge of Him.                                                                                                     在祈禱和默想的時候,  不要試圖「什麼都不去想」.   保羅說,  “讓你集中註意力, ”  而不是     “ 清空你腦內的想法. ”   把所有的思想放在基督身上,  而不是放在早期的教會事工上.   上帝話語中的一句話,  可以輕聲地引用,  並重複,  "祈求我們可能待得到祂的賜予 .... 智慧和異象的屬靈和大能, 藉由此我們可以認識祂.

                    Lord,  keep me open to the newness and joy You bring each day as I enter Your throne                            room with praise!                                                                                                                                          主啊!  求祢在我帶著讚美進入祢的寶座時,  讓我能對祢每天帶來的新鮮和活潑的                            喜樂! 

感謝上帝應允了我的祈求, 賜給孩子極有用的幫助.  下面清楚的書寫, 省去了我很多思考, 如何表達河川水學最基本的第一課.

編輯者在大學讀的渠道水力學就是這樣的.  但老師顧及選修的學生有, 航空工程, 化學工程, 機械工程, 交通工程, 水利工程.  他就以 "流體力學" 來講授.  沒有顧到學水利工程的學生 : 只要知道如何求河床的斷面, 從理論來求其流速, 便達到目的求得流量 ( Q) =  斷面 X 流速. 

               有了流量 就可以著手治理黃河了.  (我心裡知道名工程師會笑,  豈不知黃河千年未能成功的得到治理, 不是因  "水力學" 沒有得到廣泛的使用, 而是很多無解決的人的貪心在作祟.)

編輯者用 9 年的時間寫簡易的英文法就是為了讀網路的英文.

            She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;                                and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years,                                                                            who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day,                    And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord,                                                                              and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.                                                    有位女先知名叫安娜,  是亞設支派法努埃爾的女兒.                                                                              她年事已高,  與丈夫同居七年了;                                                                                                              她是位約八十四歲的寡婦,                                                                                                                          她沒有離開聖殿,  但事奉神,  晝夜禁食禱告,                                                                                            就在那一刻,  她感謝神上帝,                                                                                                                      向眾人談論祂, 有關那些在耶路撒冷尋求祂救贖的人,

             

      Anna's husband died when she was quite young.  They had been married only sevrn years before death took his life.  Alone she took up the mantle of prayer and devoted herself to seeking God for the coming of the Messiah (Luke 2:37).                                                                                                                    安娜的丈夫在她很小的時候就去世了.  他們結婚才七年,  她丈夫就死了.   她獨自承擔了祈禱的責任,  並致力於為彌賽亞的到來尋求上帝（路  2:37）.

     How many of us would have done this?  There's no mention of worrying about her state of widowhood or how her needs would be provided.  No record of anger over being left without her husband, her friend, and her beloved at such an early age.  These elements are especially important when we look at her life in the context of Judaism.                                                                                           我們有多少人會這樣做？ 沒有人會擔心她的寡居生活,  或上帝如何滿足她的需求,  沒有記錄表明, 她因這麼小就失去了丈夫,  朋友和愛人而感到憤怒.  當我們在猶太律法主義的背景下審視她的生活時,  這些因素尤其重要。

        Most women were married and had children.  To be barren was a disgrace, but not for Anna.  Her devotion was solely to the Lord.  Day and night, her heart's desire was to seek audience with almight God through prayer.  Times of fasting gave her a spiritual sensitivity that few experience.                               大多數婦女都結婚, 並生了孩子.   不生育是一種羞辱, 但對安娜來說卻不是.  她的奉獻完全是對主的.  日日夜夜,  她內心的渴望,  就是透過禱告來仰望全能的上帝,   禁食的時間給了她, 很少人能領悟到的屬靈的敏銳感.

      When Christ came to earth, one of the first places He went was to the temple.  Even as a baby, Jesus was God .  He had heard this woman's fervent petition, and with His birth God answered her call.                  當基督來到世上時,  祂首先去的地方之一,  就是聖殿.   即使祂仍在嬰兒時期,  耶穌就是上帝. 祂聽到了安娜熱切的祈求, 上帝用祂的誕生回應了她的呼喚.

      Prayer transports us into the presence of God.  Anna did not concern herself with the talk and gossip of her day.  She was focused on the coming of the Messiah.  Have you made the decision to open your heart only to God?                                                                                                                                             禱告將我們帶到上帝的面前.  安娜並不關心當時的談話和諷刺言語.  她專注於彌賽亞的到來.  你是否已決定只向上帝敞開你的心懷？
