Our heavenly Father,  have a mercy on me.  Let me always thinking to carry each other's burdens, and in this way I will fulfill Yours law. In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.

                Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.                                                                        你們各人的重擔, 要互相擔當, 如此, 就完全了基督的法律 (加拉太書 6:2).                  

          The casual chat over the fence turns serious.  The routine conversation about teenage dilemmas leads into an emotional admission by your neighbor.                                                                                            扶著柵欄對面的隨意聊天, 變得嚴肅起來了.  有關於青少年困境的習慣性對話, 引致鄰居情緒激動地認清了這點.                  

           "My son is about to be suspended from school for something he said to his teacher.  I am going to talk with the principal today and would appreciate your prayers.  I am pretty upset about the possible consequences."                                                                                                                                                         "我的兒子因為對老師說錯了一些話, 即將被停學.  今天我將與校長交談, 並感謝你為我祈禱.  對可能要發生的後果, 我甚感到不安.”

        You wince.  You are nt sure what to say.  Since you both attend the same curch, you assure him that you wil pray for his son.  He is grateful.                                                                                                        你退避不語.  不知道該說什麼.   由於你們都參在同一間教堂聚會,  你向他保證你會為他的兒子祈求.  他很感激.

        The next weekend you notice your neighbor working in his yard.  You would like to walk over and inquire about hus son's status, but you are apprehensive about how to approach the subhect.                            下週末, 你發現你的鄰居在他的院子裡一起工作.  你很想走過去, 詢問一下他兒子的狀況, 但又不知道對這話題從何談起.

       Bearing the burdens of a fellow Christian is a ticklish issue.  We do no want to appear nosy and certainly don't desire to say something that coud be misconstrued.  For the most part, we keep at arm's lengh, opting for our basic generic prayer.  This approach is far removed from the biblical notion of bearing one another's burdens, which entails a signficant sharing of the spiritual and emotional weight.         承擔基督徒同工們的重負, 是一個棘手的問題.  我們不想顯得多管閒事, 當然也不想說一些可能被誤解的話.   在大多數情況下,  我們保持一些距離, 基本上應用祈禱.  但這種方法, 與聖經中互相承擔重負的觀念, 不很合適,  聖經中的觀念是,  需要大力分對方精神和情緒上的重擔.

         Have yu entered into this kind of burden bearing?  Aren't there episodes when you deeperately need ths kind of assistance?  God has a way to make it happen.                                                                           你有以這樣的方式, 進入為對方負擔嗎？ 你自己曾有過非常需要這種方式的契友幫助的時候嗎？ 上帝有辦法感動你以這樣方式參與.

                We do not want you to be ignorant,  brother, of  our trouble which came to us in Asia:                      that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength,  so that we despaired even of                    life.                                                                                                                                                                兄弟, 我們不想讓你們不知道我們在亞洲遇到的苦處：                                                                        我們背負著難以估量的負擔,                                                                                                                      超出了我們的力量，以至於我們甚至對生命感到絕望。                                                       

        When the world feels as if it is caving in around you and there is nothing you can do to change your circumstances, where do you go to find strength and hope?                                                    當你感覺到世界正在崩潰, 而你又無法改變自己的處境時, 你該去哪裡尋找力量和希望呢？

         In 2 Cor. 1:8, Paul told of being "hurdened beyond measure,  above strength, so that we despaired even of life. "  Whatever he was faceingg, the thought of impending death was on his mind.  Yet his hope did not rest in his human ability.                                                                                       在哥後1章8節中, 保羅談到 "我們被壓得無法估量, 和無法承受, 以致連活著都絕望了"   無論保羅面對什麼, 在他的腦海中都是死亡即將來臨的想法.  然而, 他的希望並不在於他的本人身上.

        The Person he turned to was the only One who could administer peace to his heart and truth to his mind.  Even though he despaired, he did not give up or give in to fears.  He ran to Jesus : "In whom we tust that He will still deliver us" ( 2 Cor. 1:10).                                                                        使徒保羅所求助的人是唯一能帶給他的心靈平安的上帝, 祂帶給他的思想真理的神.  儘管他感到絕望,  但他並沒有放棄或屈服於恐懼.  他跑向耶穌對說,  "我們信靠祂, 祂仍能拯救我們"（哥林多後書 1:10）

        From the world's perspective, there are many places you can go to find comfort.  But there is only one place you will find a hand to catch your tears and a heart to listen to your ever longing.  True peace comes only from God.  Nothing is so great that God is not greater still.                                    從世界的角度來看, 有很多地方可以去尋找安慰.  但只有一個地方, 你能找到幫助的上帝, 祂會來同情你的眼淚,  用祂的心來傾聽你永遠的渴求.   真正的平安只來自上帝.  沒有什麼比祂更偉大的了.

        Is there an urgency in your heart?  Something that threatens your emotional well-being as well as your ability to perform in life?  Take it to Jesus.  Run to Him.  He is your solid, unshakeable Source of strength in cruel and hurtful times, One who is faithful and One who is true.                                                                                                                                                                     你的心著急嗎？ 有什麼事情威脅到你的情緒健康, 以及你生活表現的能力呢？ 把它們都帶到耶穌跟前.  在殘酷和傷害的時, 祂是你的保障,  不可動搖的力量源泉,  祂是信實, 真實的人又是上帝.

                    You are my rock and my fortress                                                                                                                  Therefore, for Your name's sake,                                                                                                                  Lead me and guide me.                                                                                                                                  你是我的磐石, 我的堡壘,                                                                                                                            因此, 為了祢名的緣故,                                                                                                                                求祢帶領我, 引導我.                      

      In her book Seeking God, Joni Eareckson Tada explains what truning to God as a refuge means to her:                                                                                                                                                                      瓊妮·厄爾克森·塔達（Joni Eareckson Tada）在她的《尋求上帝》一書中, 解釋了求上帝作為我們的避難所, 對她意到底有著什麼含意：

        There's a lot more safety and security in the Lord than in safe house of our own making and design ....Now that I'm an adult, I put childish activities behind me and go ....to a place, a Person, who is the Everlasting Rock.                                                                                                                                                 在主耶穌裡, 比在我們自己建造和設計的安全屋裡, 有更多的安全和保障 … 現在我是大人了, 我把幼稚一切活動都拋在腦後去 … 却想往那地方,  那個人 --- 耶穌, 祂是永恆的磐石。

       Where do you go when you feel burned out, used up, overcommitted?  Do you run to the Lord or to your own devices?  All other sources of relief --- friends, hobbies, sport, vacatios --- are ultimately disapointing.  Once they're out of the picture, the pressures return.                                                                     當你感到精疲力盡, 過份的燃燒, 且是過度投入某項喜好時, 你會怎麼辦？ 你是奔向主耶穌, 還是奔向自己的堡壘？ 所有其使你恢復的方法, 如: 朋友、愛好、運動、度假 —— 最終都會令人失望.  一旦玩厭了, 壓力就又會回來尋找你.

         Take your tensions and troubles to Jesus in prayer.  He gives lasting peace that is beyond your comprehension.                                                                                                                                                       透過禱告將你的緊張壓力, 和煩惱帶到耶穌面前. 祂所賜你平安的持久, 是你無法理解的.

                When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home.  And in hs upper room, with                    his windows open toward Jersalem, he knelt down on his knes three times that day, and                            prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his since early days.                                                          當丹尼爾知道簽名已經簽署後, 他就回家了.   在他樓上的房間裡,                                                        面向耶路撒冷的窗戶開著, 那天他三次跪下,                                                                                            在上帝面前祈禱和感謝, 就像小時候所做的一樣.

        Sometimes it doesn't take much to throw you off track when it comes to spending time in prayer.  You finally get by youeself and how your head, and the phone rings.  You suddenly remember another obligation.  One of the children runs in with a question or a problem that cannot wail.  Or maybe you can't concentrate, and you decide to give up and try again later.                                                                          有時侯, 當談到在祈禱花時間, 並不需要太多, 就能讓你偏離正常的祈求.  最後, 你終於恢復正常,  你的頭腦, 電話響了.  你突然想起了另一項義務.  其中有個孩子帶著, 不能哭的問題跑進來.  或者也許注意力無法集中,  決定放棄, 並稍後再試。

        For Daniel, not even the threat of becoming lunch for lions deterred him from his daily habit of prayer.  The edict to worship the king was handed down, and the ruler waited with delight to catch Daniel in the act of defiance.  Of course, they did not have to wait long.  Daniel continued to pray before God three times a day, as he always did.                                                                                                   對但以理來說,  即使是成為獅子口中的食物的威脅, 也無法改變他每天祈禱的習慣.  崇拜國王的法令已經下達, 統治者高興地在等待, 抓住但以理的犯法行為,  當然,  他們並沒有等待得太久.  但以理仍是如往常一樣, 每天繼續在上帝面前禱告三次.

        What gave Daniel his determination and resolve?  He believed without a shadow of a doubt that God would honor his comitment to prayer and take care of any trouble.  Daniel did not concern himself with who might see or what others would think; he focused on the Lord alone.                                                  是什麼讓但以理有如此的堅定和有決心？ 他毫無疑問地, 相信上帝會兌現他對祈禱的承諾,並解決對他發生的任何麻煩.  但以理並不關心誰會看到, 或別人會怎麼想;  他只關心別人的看法.  他只專注於主.

        In the end, Daniel was saved, the king was awed, and the rulers got to meet the lions.  And here is the good news:  God protects and uplifts you, too, which you trust Him to handle the consequences of obdience in prayer.                                                                                                                                               最終, 但以理得救了, 國王敬畏他們的上帝,  統治者他們的王, 也必定遇見了獅子.  這是好消息：當你相信上帝會垂聽你的禱告時的同時, 祂會保護和提升你.

March 3     The Deepest Form of Intimacy  Bible reading : Luke 11:1-4    Key verse :  Matthew 6:14-15

                If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also                                                                forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,                                                                            neither will our Father gorgive your trespasses.

        In Luke 11, Jesus provided a rich pattern for praper.  Yet we know He never prayed this because He was sinless and, therefore, did not have to ask forgiveness.  However, He used these words to teach us how to pray.   

        Jesus was specific about the need for forgiveness. Even though God has provided a way through His Son for your forgiveness, there is still a need for you to acknowledge your sinfulness whenever you yield to temptation. 

        Forgiveness is crucial to your spirital growth.  Remember the words of Jesus on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do"  (Luke 23:34).

        Prayer that comes from the heart involve responsibility: "Father, I love You, and I choose to do Your will even when it seems difficult and unbearable."  It always honors God for who He is.  Jesus taught us to pray: "Hallowed be Your name."  He went on to show us how to present our requests to the Father by praying, "Give us day by day our daily bread" (Luke 11: 2-3).

         Recognize that God is your sovereign Provider.  He loves you unconditionally and wants you to experience His goodness, no matter what comes your way.  His daily bread for you is His Word, and He gives it as a source of encouragement and hope.

          Prayer changes you and leads you into the deepest form of intimacy, time spent with your loving heavenly Father.

                        Father, give me a heart to do Your will even when it seems difficult and unbearable.                                Change me as I wait before You today.

        You, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door,                                              pray to your Father who is in the secret place;                                                                                              and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.                                                                        當你祈禱時, 進入你的房間, 關上門後,                                                                                                      向你在隱密處的天父祈禱;                                                                                                                          你的天父在暗中察看,祂會公開地賞賜你。        

    On the subject of prayer, A.B. Simpson writes,                                                                                            關於禱告的話題, A.B. 辛普森(A.B. Simpson) 寫道,

       The first view given of God in the Lord's Prayer is not His majesty but His paternal love.   To the listening diciples this must have been a strange expression from the lips of their Lord as a pattern for them.  Never hadJewish ears heard God so named, at least in His relation to the individual ... No sinful man had ever dared to call God his Father.                                                                                                        主禱文中對上帝的第一印像不是祂的君王威嚴, 而是祂的天父的大愛.  對於聆聽的門徒來說, 這一定是從他們的主嘴裡說出的奇怪的表達方式, 為他們樹立了榜樣.  猶太人的耳朵從來沒有聽過上帝如此稱呼, 至少在祂與他們個人的關係上… 沒有罪人敢稱上帝為他的父親.

      The idea of God as your Father is one of extreme love.  Regardless of what your earthly father was like, God is a Father of love, and He cares for you.  His parental love offers security, encouragement, and nurturing,  Therefore, know demands to listen to your heart.  For the beliver, prayer is a lifeline of eternal love and hope,                                                                                                                                         上帝作為你的父親的想法, 是一種極端的大愛.  無論你在世的父親是什麼樣的,  上帝都是慈愛的父親, 祂關心你.  祂以父母的愛提供你安全感, 鼓勵和養育你.  因此, 上帝傾聽你內心知道你的需求.  對信徒來說, 祈禱是永恆的愛和希望的生命線.

        What did the apostle Paul mean when he wrote, "Pray without cesing? "  For one, he was indicating that we can live in an atttiude of prayer even though we are engaged in everday.  That does not mean we walk  around mumbling prayers to God, though there will be days wben we pray much more than others.                                                                                                                                                   當使徒保羅寫到「不住地禱告」時,  他的意思是什麼？ 他表明即使我們每天都忙於禱告, 我們也可以依禱告的態度生活.  這並不意味著我們到處都表面上向上帝祈禱, 儘管有時我們會比其他人祈禱更多.

      Instead , the indication here leans to one of opportunity.  We can have a natural attitude of prayer surrounding our lives.  Prayer is a sign that we are dependent on the Lord and not on ourselves.  Should you  pray about trival matters?  Yes, God listens to every prayer.  A prayer to find lost glasses or to  mentally retrieve forgotten infomation is a worthy request.                                                                              但是, 這裡的暗示傾向於一種機會.   那就是可以在我們生活周圍, 擁有一種自然的祈禱態度. 禱告是我們依靠主而不是靠自己的記號.  你該為瑣碎的事情而禱告嗎？ 是的,  上帝垂聽任何禱告.  祈求祂代找丟失的眼鏡或恢復被遺忘的事件, 都是向祂祈求有價值的請求.

        God has called us to be people of prayer.  Comunication on ths level is one of intimate fellowship with the Savior.  Through prayer, we discover the goodness and personal devotion of God.  Tough taking time to be along with God is the ideal, we don't have to limit ourselves.  God hears our prayrs no matter where we prayer.                                                                                                                                        上帝呼召我們成為禱告的人.  在這層面的溝通是與救主的親密團契之一.   透過祈禱, 我們發現我們的良善和個人對上帝的奉獻.  花時間與上帝在一起, 是我們最想往的, 我們不必限制自己.  無論我們在哪裡禱告, 上帝都會垂聽. 

        Oswald Chambers spoke to this issue: " So many of us limit our praying because we are not    reckless in our confidence in God, it is madness to trust Him.  But when we pray through the power of the Holy Spirit we realize the resources of God.  He is our perfect heavenly Father, and we are His children."                                                                                                                                                                奧斯瓦爾 · 錢伯斯 (Oswald Chambers) 談到這個問題時說,  "我們很多人限制我們的祈禱，因為我們對上帝的相信, 並不是魯莽的, 或瘋狂不理志的.   但是, 當我們透過聖靈的力量祈禱時, 意識到上帝的豐盛 … 祂是我們完美的天父, 我們是祂的兒女.
