我们在天上的父 ,  求祢容我在春节喜乐的时候 ,  跪下向祢祈祷.  主耶稣啊,  求保守我有颗清洁的心, 常常思想圣灵所结的果子, 仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制.   主啊！求祢赐我悟性,  知道心中惟一的喜乐是因着满有祢的同在.  奉主耶稣基督的名祈祷 .  阿们.

主内的访友,  请与我一同享受圣经的恩赐, 世上没有任何书能与它相比.  它真是本活命的书.  在中国农历新年,  让我们一起下决心, 每日读圣经, 天天学像耶稣基督,  使世人认出我们真是上帝的儿女.

在新约圣经中,  加拉太书记载: 圣 灵 所 结 的 果 子 、 就 是 仁 爱 、 喜 乐 、 和 平 、 忍 耐 、 恩 慈 、 良 善 、 信 实 、温 柔 、 节 制 ． 这 样 的 事 、 没 有 律 法 禁 止(5:22-23 新美国标准版).

New Testament,  Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,  goodness, faithfulness, Gentleness,  and self-control:  against such there is no law (NASB).

I decide to give LOVE.  施舍仁爱

在任何情况下,  绝不怀恨.  No occasion justifies hatred.

即使遭遇不公,  也绝不苦毒.  No injustice warrants bitterness.

每天爱上帝,  也爱祂所爱.  I will love God and what God loves everyday.

I decide to be JOY in Jesus Christ.   在主内喜乐

邀请上帝来掌管我的环境  I will invite God to control my circumstances.

拒绝看低任何人，因为我深知人是上帝所创造的万物之灵  I will refuse to look down upon any one because we are all created by God. 

在任何境遇下, 我都会看作是寻求上帝的机会.   I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to seek God.

为了心平气和，求上帝怜悯   Oh, God,  have a mercy on me so that  I might live in peace.

对活在恐惧中的富人要怜悯.  I will be kind to the rich because they are afraid.

善待毫无恩慈的人，上帝也是这样善待我  I will be kind to the unkind for such is

how God has treated me.

I will be GOODNESS   心存良善

即使被人轻看，也不要自夸.   I will be overlooked before I will boast. 

先自责，再责备人.   I will confess before I will accuse.

上帝是善良的.  God is merciful.

I will always be FAITHFULNESS like our faithful God.   像上帝一样的信实 .

每天言出必行.   I will keep my promises everyday.

有借有还.  My debtors will not regret their trust.

讨同事的信任.  My associates will not question my work.

不住的为儿女代祷
     My children will never fear that their parents will cease to pray God to take care for them.

I choose  GENTLENESS   好温柔

暴力得不到好结果  Nothing is won by force. 

好温柔  I choose to be gentle.

我如果提高嗓门，是单为赞美上帝.  If I raise my voice, may it be only to praise  God.  

我如果握紧拳头，是单为祷告上帝.  If I clench my fist, may it be only to pray God. 

我如果提出要求，是单单要求自己.  If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose SELF-CONTROL 我选择要节制

拒绝让短暂的控制永恒.  I refuse to let what will not rule the eternal. 

只容许喜乐让我醉倒.  I will be drunk only by joy.

惟有上帝的儿子耶稣基督可以改变我. 

I will be changed only by God’s Son Jesus Christ.

我们在天上的父,  感谢祢的恩典怜悯我这个罪人.  因为祢的爱和恩典, 赐给我们祢唯一的爱子 , 耶稣基督, 让祂亲身背负我的罪, 在十字架上, 以祂圣洁无罪的生命为我 们付清了罪的赎价, 今天使我可以因为信靠耶稣的救恩,  因信称义,  成为天父的儿女.  

愿上帝得到一切的荣耀, 赞美,  称颂.  奉耶稣永远得胜的名祷告.   阿门.

由于文化, 在英语里积聚了许多有固定含义的习语.  这些习语多般由动词与常用的前置词at、by、for、from、under、without、with、to、while、during、on所形成, 即所谓的“动词短语”.  请注意该动词短语常和该动词单独使用时的意义相异.  例如:

fear                  We fear you.                                        我们怕你.

fear for             We fear for you.                                  我们为你担心.

fly                     I flew it .                                              我拋了它.

fly at                 I flew at it .                                          飞向它飞扑.

get                    He got a shock .                                   他受了惊吓.

get over           He got over the shock .                        他从惊吓中恢复过来.

go                    I shall not go .                                       我不去.

go against         I shall not go against you.                    我不会反对( 或攻击)你.

happen             Why did it happen.                               为什幺会发生.

happen upon     When did you happen upon it ?            你幺时候发现了它？

hit                     You have hit it.                                     你打中了.

hit at                 You have hit at it.                                你曾向它射击.

hit upon            You have hit Upon it.                           你已发现了.

keep                 I could not keep it.                                我不能保留它.

keep from         I could not keep from it.                      我不能止住它.

kick                  The horse kicked him!                          马踢他.

kick at              He kicked at the rules.                         他破坏规则.

know                I didn't know them.                               我不认识他们.

know of            I didn't know of them.                          我不知道他们的事.

learn                 We learned it too late.                          我们学得太晚了.

learn of             We learned of it too late.                     我们知道那事太迟了.

还有些习语带有虚字, 非常扰人, 必须牢记. 

   例如:

            Where there is a will, there is a way. 

                (记得 “will” 的前面来加 "a" 表示是抽象名词.  该英文句中的 “Where”  和  “there” 是两虚字. ) 意志在那里, 前途就在那里. 

在农历新年即将来临之际,  请让我与主内的访友讲耶稣要再来的事.  因为在这世界的末日所發生的事, 是耶稣基督再来的预兆.  我们要儆醒预备祂的来到.  否则就像十个童女中, 那五个愚蠢的童女, 当主耶稣再来时, 因心中没有儆醒预备, 当灯中没有油, 再去买时, 新郎来了, 来不及, 被关在门外,  她们苦苦哀求, “主阿, 主阿, 给我们开门.  耶稣回答说, 我实在告诉你们, 我不认识你们.” (马太福音 25:11) 主内访友弟兄姐妹, 我们预备好了吗?

圣诞节是纪念主的道成肉身, 来到世间, 为我这罪人与上帝和好而自愿走上十字架受死.  没有圣诞树,  圣诞老人,  圣诞卡片…..只有主耶稣卑微的降生在马槽里.  故上帝给使徒和初期教会一个重要功课就是谦卑.   因为人人都必需靠上帝的恩典—信靠道成肉身的耶稣为赎我们的罪死在十字架上, 用祂的宝血洗净我们的罪孽, 才能得救. 請認識这位道成肉身的上帝的儿子:

He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village, where He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.

主耶稣生在不起眼的村庄, 是农村童贞女的孩子.   祂却在另外的村庄长大, 在那里祂以做木匠为生, 直到三十岁.   然后的三年，主耶稣出来在当地巡回传天国的福音。

He never wrote a book.

祂从未写过一本书. 

He never held an office.

祂从来没有办公室.   

He never had a family or a home.

祂从来没有固定居所或家.   

He didn't go to college.

祂没有上过大学.   

He never visited a big city.

President Roosevelt in the United States is a devout Christian.

He always has a heart of gratitude. As his family was stolen, his friend wrote him a letter to comfort him. He replied:  “My dear friend, thank you for your letter in comforting me. I am fine now and thank God.

英语短语动词(phrasal verbs)

在英语句子中, 常常见到动词后面跟着这些, in, out, on, off, up, down, away, back, round, through, about, along, over, forward, by 等单词.  例如,  fill in; break down; put out; get on; take off; run away 等作成的短语.  这类短语称为短语动词 ( phrasal verbs).  它们在口语及篇章句子中常常见到, 诸如:  My car breaks down ( 意思是: 我车拋锚了.  ‘My car stops working.’); Fill in this form, please! (意思是: 請填这表格. ‘They give me a form and ask me to fill it in.’); I drop out the English class. (意思是: 我不修英文这一课.  ‘I stop taking part in studying English’).  The weather clears up. (意思是: 天气好转了.  ‘It becomes brighter-for weather.’);  He moved in last Saturday. (意思是: 他上星六搬进来了.  ‘He started living in the house last Saturday.’)  由单句中可见,  是第二个单词给这短语动词特别的意思.

get on  :   上车  (意思是:  My car was full.  You couldn't get on.

我的车坐满了,  你不能上车.)

drive off:  开走了  (意思是:  John got into the car and drove off.

                                               约翰坐进车后, 开走了.)

come back:  回来  (意思是:  Mary is leaving tomorrow and coming back on Monday.

                                                   玛莉明天要走, 星期一回来.)

turn round:  回过头来 (意思是: When I touched her shoulder, she turned round.

                                                      当我拍她肩膀时, 她回过头来.)

breaking down :  打破 (意思是:   The police got into the house by breaking down the door.  警察破门而入这房屋。)

在所有的感恩的聖詩中，我最愛這首，因為它摸著我的心.

聖詩是瑞典人史篤慕（August Ludvig Storm, 1862-1914）所寫。 原文共有四節，每節都以“感謝神”開始，作者凡事謝恩。 聖詩由裴史莊（Carl Ernest Backstrom）譯成英文，他刪除了第三節。史篤慕在救世軍的聚會中得救，後來成為瑞典救世軍領導人之一。 這首詩是為救世軍刊物而作。他在三十七歲時，背部受重傷，以至終生殘疾，不時疼痛不已，但他繼續在救世軍聚會中講道，並為刊物寫作。 在他去世前一年，他另寫了一首感恩的詩歌，感謝神的眷顧與保守。

譜曲者郝德門(John A. Hultman, 1891)也是瑞典人，童年時隨父母移民美國。 他有優美的歌聲，六十多年中，他在瑞典與美國之間，舉行福音演唱，因為個性爽朗、歌聲歡愉，所以廣受歡迎，他被稱為「陽光歌者」。他一共作了五百多首歌。 這位陽光歌者，八十一歲時，在加州一教會演唱福音聖詩時，被主接去。 能在事奉時迎見主，真是美好無比！
