介词的运作在英语语法里比较活跃 , 其与另外词类撘配的关系及连结更加活跃尤其是英语短语的构成, 它最为活跃编辑者并非以研究英语语法为专业, 只是顾及与我一样处境的年轻朋友们, 愿以受惠于恩师的教诲, 转施之与他人.  多年热爱英语的心, 永不放弃(never give up)的毅力, 与爱好学习英语语法的青年们分享学习的心得.  我只是比你们早知道几天而已.   所以有关介词的讲解恐不能满足你们的希求, 謹将一些例句列出供各位参考.
at, in, on与其它词类配撘的情形非常活跃, 不能尽述现把一些它与其它词类組成的最常用的短语介词(group-preposition)例句列出如下:
at a loss for                  I was at a loss for words with which to reply
(我不知道用什么话回答).
at enmity with              They are at enmity with each other.
                                    (他们互相仇视).
at harmony with          Science is not at harmony with philosophy
